I've not ordered it. Autobiographies can be hit and miss for me. One's the drone on about their primitive years kinda put me off. Background to a point is interesting but when you're on chapter 4 and they've only just got around to the first day at school it's a bit much. Is it selfish of me to only be interested in someone's life from the point where I knew of them from e.g when they debuted as a wrestler, first formed the band, first became an actor etc?

Awesome book. The things he went through at his darkest period were amazing. The stories of learning and traveling in Europe to WCW and their ignorance to his first WWE run and his addiction just all amazing.

I was hoping he didn't gloss over his dark period, as that is one of the more compelling things about him that I wanted to read.

I understand. I have a friend who ONLY reads the stuff he doesn't know. For example he read Mick Foley's book but stopped reading it once he got to ECW. Me I like to see what made them a fan in the first place, find out who my hero's heroes were and their point of view was like.

It was a very honest and sad book. He was clean and sober until WCW and it went quickly downhill. Glad to see he realized he had a problem but sad to see he's relapsed several times since the book has come out.

William Regal's book is one of the best wrestling biographies I've read. He is very honest about the drug and alcohol problems he went through. Some of the stories about the early part of his career are interesting as well. There are some dark parts in his book but there are also some parts that will make you laugh. It's a good read.
