It's Monday night, and for those who are still here during football season, that means it's time for RAW, coming to you live tonight from Sacramento. Hell In A Cell is starting to loom large on the horizon, and that could mean many things for the superstars of WWE.
In a completely spontaneous move not related to TV ratings in any way whatsoever, the big cheese himself Vincent K. McMahon will strut on down to RAW and give a State of the WWE Address, and many are guessing that his focus will be on besieged RAW General Manager AJ Lee, the woman he appointed mid-wedding. With both Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman gunning for the job, and the diminutive disturbed Diva already on probation from theDeus Ex Machina Board Of Directors, could it be curtains tonight on the Lee administration? Or will she receive a fresh vote of confidence from the Chairman?
WWE Champion CM Punk has held that belt for 323 days and counting, but is stuck in quite a pickle these days. Admittedly, he probably brought it on himself with various attacks on WWE Legends in recent weeks and a refusal to accept a challenge from the injured John Cena at Hell In A Cell, but now Ryback has set his sights on the Best In The World, and it may only be a matter of time before Big Hungry is wearing the big belt. Will there be further confrontations between Punk and Ryback tonight? Which WWE Legend will Punk pick a fight with? And will Cena be there tonight to challenge Punk again?
World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus had his almighty win streak broken by Punk on Main Event last week, before dropping a DQ loss to The Miz thanks to his Hell In A Cell opponent and No. 1 Contender, Big Show. However, the turnabout was fair play later in the night when he caused Big Show a DQ loss to Tensai. After last week's "enthralling" debate, what will these two mighty men do to hype up their future title bout?
The tag team division is alive and kicking once again, with a No. 1 Contender's Tournament now entering the semi-finals. Will tonight see Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow take on Santino Marella and Zack Ryder? Or will it be Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara fighting The Prime Time Players? The winners get one step closer to a championship shot against the dysfunctional duo of Kane and Daniel Bryan at Hell In A Cell, so the remaining 4 teams will need to bring their best to get to that title match against Team Hell No.
Midcard champs... Intercontinental Champion The Miz hasn't really been doing much of note lately, but United States Champion Antonio Cesaro arguably stole the show last week in every language, lifting up big Brodus Clay and hitting The Funkasaurus with the Neutralizer on his way to victory. Will Cesaro move on to new opponents, or will Brodus be looking for revenge for a rare pinfall loss?
Divas... We're still no closer to finding out who Kaitlyn's mystery blonde attacker was, even with Divas Champion Eve Torres pointing the finger at Beth Phoenix. And Layla wants her rematch soon. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.
All that, and musings from a Terminator in 140 characters or less, TONIGHT on RAW!
