Tonight, Wade Barrett, fresh off a re-debut and varies wins over jobbers and lower midcarders (including former Nexus partners) was randomly thrown into a match with Sheamus.
Considering Sheamus's recent protection and push to remind everyone that he's "One of the Greatest World Champions" it seemed as if Wade's new attitude was being served up to show the toughness of Sheamus.
However, like a weird cameo in a comedy, Tensai appeared and the match became a no contest as he stiffly kicked Sheamus in the head.
Sure, Tensai just ended up eating yet another Brogue Kick, but Wade didn't and that is what truly matters.
So...did Tensai save the Barrett gimmick?
For me, it's a solid...Maybe so.

Absolutely. To have Barrett get fed to Sheamus this early into his new character would have been ridiculous.

I think he ruined it with the fist tape and the new gear, honestly. the beard is kinda cool, but the new look honestly doesnt work for me.

The greatest Tensai moment thus far was him hiding behind Show on the way out, as to not show up on camera as he waddled backstage. LOL.
Yeah, it's a low bar.

Tensai's run in wasn't random, it was payback for Sheamus Brogue Kicking him on Friday

Barrett wasn't going to get fed, even without Tensai. It was pretty obvious from the beginning they were pushing it as if Barrett was near his equal.
If anything, it was massive step up from what he's been doing.

Barrett should be the one to dethrone Sheamus.
If just to make up for the fact he should have been WWE Champion either at or the night after Survivor Series 2010, IMO.

They played their cards right and didn't feed him to Sheamus. If anything they showed he can compete at his level and he'll only improve. Smart, they're saving the feud for later.
