A lot of people say around season 5 or 6, but the Michael Scott Paper Company Arc is my favorite storyline from the show. I have to say if it jumped it would have to be sometime last season. That is the only time where some weeks it felt like a chore to watch. It has been better this season though and don't think it will get that bad again since I think the showrunners can go out strong.

Once Dwight got more airtime for me. Character with no redeeming qualities that was wacky just for the sake of being wacky.

Seasons 1-3 were fantastic. 4-5 was good. 6 was okay. 7 and 8 were very weak and 9 continues that trend. I could say The Meeting, S6, where Jim gets promoted to co-manager. But it's really Prince Paper Company where the office workers argue whether Hilary Swank is hot. It's not even a bad episode or the first where no one works, Office Olympics episode. But it's style, have everyone not work and talk about one topic, was a cheap and easy way to write "jokes" and use characters who normally would stay in the background and talk when necessary. Worst one is The Search where they just decide to write captions to Pam's cartoon.

Season 5 was the beginning of the end. The Michael Scott Paper Co arc was just terrible to me. Nothing fun or interesting or even funny about it. That was the season the show went from a relatable, but quirky look at office life with some subtle humor to a show that slapped you in the wacky face with their wacky characters doing wacky things - hey America, we're WACKY! The characters became caricatures and the stories stopped being about working in an office about hilarious hijinks.
Which doesn't make it a bad show, just nothing special and just like every other show on TV.

When Jim and Pam got married. That was the time to wrap it up. The wedding episode is the last one I watched and came out really enjoying that. Everything since has been a blur... but jokes and storylines from before that were amazing to me.

Jim & Pam finally get together.
Season 4 wasn't as bad as the show would eventually become but that's definitely where I would pinpoint the descent in quality. Seasons 2 & 3 were just flat-out amazing though.

Carrell leaving. Michael's arc was the last genuine thing the show had, and once that was gone, it was the equivalent of TV leftovers.

Pam and Jim getting together is when I quit watching the show. To me that's how it ended. And everything I have read about the show since seems like total crap.

The episode when Dwight and Andy fought for Angela. High-fiving each other as they decided on when they will schedule their duel. So, so, so stupid.

Jim & Pam finally get together. Season 4 wasn't as bad as the show would eventually become but that's definitely where I would pinpoint the descent in quality. Seasons 2 & 3 were just flat-out amazing though. Season 4, definitely. There were some good episodes, but everything about the show became too self-conscious and precious. They were coming off their most popular season yet, and it felt like the writing was enamored with itself. Jim and Pam, when finally together, felt incredibly obnoxious. Ryan as the corporate honcho ultimately led nowhere and more-or-less ruined the character for the rest of the series (although maybe that's more Season 5's fault, considering that's where he was simply hired as the temp again). They started the heinous Dwight/Angela/Andy triangle, which is where the show became more about sexual relationships and not about the drudgery of everyday working life.

Sometime in season 5. The episode with the Chloris Leachman/Jack Black movie, or the Michael Scott Paper Company arc.
