www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/justin-lee-collins-anna-larke-1376516**NSFW** For those that don't know; Justin Lee Collins is an English comedian. He always sold himself as being a lovable geek. Last week he was sentenced to community service after being found guilty of harassing his ex-girlfriend. In the link above you'll find recordings that she made of him that were used in court as evidence against him. They contain swearing (though a bleeped version is available). The content is pretty shocking. The frightening thing though is that this sort of stuff goes on across the world every single day, often unbeknownst to friends and family.

So basically within 2 months we've gone from praising our Olympic heroes to having to hear about tits like Collins, Jimmy Savile & Lance Armstrong every day.
It seems a big name is being exposed daily atm.

I've always thought he was an arsehole. This confirms it.

Yep, horrible little git. Boy, British light entertainment is falling apart this month isn't it?

On a similar note, did anyone watch Have I Got News For You last night? It was fantastic. They discussed Savile for five minutes with no jokes and it made for riveting viewing. Having a guest of the calibre of Graham Linehan just upped the greatness.

Apparently they did joke about it but because of the Savile thing being an ongoing criminal investigation, they had to cut the jokes. Still, it's still probably the only panel show worth watching on TV these days.

Probably explains why he went from hosting those high rated Reunion specials to "oops tv".

HIGNFY was fantastic, particularly the critique of the Daily Mail's "all grown up" culture.
And yeah, Collins is scum. Glad he's been exposed, and thankfully he doesn't offer enough actual quality for his career to prosper after this.

Having a guest of the calibre of Graham Linehan just upped the greatness. Yeah it was rather amazing to see, I have the utmost respect for Ian Hislop, he's just a really intelligent, sane man, which shouldn't be surprising but he spends a hell of alot of Have I Got News For You nowadays in the shadow of Merton and whoever our guests and host are. That was a really odd episode outside of that though, I mean even by Have I Got News For You standards some of the stuff was dark as hell (The Abu Hamza joke and Ken Livingstone saying Cameron should slit his throat in particular). Delete that last bit if you need to by the way, don't know if simply mentioning those names might break the politics rules. Also those tapes are disgusting, I was never a Lee Collins fan but after this? Well... I can't really say what I feel on a place like this, I'll just say I had a step-dad a hell of a lot like him and I hope the man doesn't make a single penny off his "celebrity" for the rest of his days.
