I can't say that a Devon reveal excites me but I think they painted themselves into a corner. Most of the choices were too obvious or even more meaningless than Devon, and what super-surprise big names could it have been? I mean, who is out there that could have made TNA fans or people who want this company succeed all stand as one and say, "Yes, they got it right. I'm TNA for life?"
If you don't like those choices, who should it have been?

Is there an option for discarding A&8 altogether?

Joseph Park was Abyss the whole time and fooled everybody.

If it were Bully Ray, the same people and probably be more of them would be complaining about it being totally obvious and predictable and Sting being fooled again.
It's because it's TNA.

Bully Ray would've been awesome. Sting has made a hall of fame career by being betrayed. How fitting.
But I really loved the fact that it was Devon.

What if Devon pulled off his Devon mask to reveal Velvet Sky?

Both the option of Bully turning on Sting and Jarrett being behind it would have been fine with me.

Bully betraying Sting? f*** NO! That would have been the most disappointing choice. I like how TNA swerved everyone including all the dirtsheets. Maybe Devon isn't even the leader, but just another guy in that group. The leader will probably be someone like Jeff Jarrett and Bischoff will be in it as well. Jarrett would make the most sense as he wants control over TNA back.

No! Just no! If Hogan reads this he'll be like "THE FANS WANT NICK, BROTHERJACKDUDE! LET'S GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT!"

It can still be JJ or Bishoff, Devon is obviously just a shocking reveal member, but not the leader.
However I would really like if its not an established wrestler, but just one tough looking guy like gallows that doesnt get his past wrestling career brought up and just gets put over a few ME wrestlers, he arrives strong.

I would've preferred Luke Gallows or Mike Knox to Devon. Atleast it would be someone new.

I'd have liked Sting to be turned on because it's always hilarious when that happens. Guy just never sees it coming.

Sting should have turn heel on himself. He'd never see it coming.

I would've been happier with Bischoff, Jarrett, Abyss, or a debut/reveal of Knox/Gallows/Masters (preferably more than one). You build a mystery that long, it needs to be someone we haven't seen in at least a while.

I like it. Quite a shocker and it's really made me sorta care about D'Von again. I'd hate if he was their leader though, keep him as a minion.

Who better than Devon? (Yes, I realize he's dead. The thread title just brought that catchphrase to mind)
