Chips. With all the stuff that Chinese buffets put on here in England, i dont get why people bother with stuff like chips, knowing its normally just supermarket economy brand chips.

Just in general, things that are outside the restaurant's style. I used to go to a Chinese buffet in Johnson City a lot, and they had pepperoni pizza on the buffet. No thank you. If I was at Golden Corral type place and saw lo mein or General Tso's chicken, I'd probably pass it up. The one exception to this, which I only tried because one of my friends insisted, was apple pie at a local Chinese buffet. It was pretty good.

I usually ignore the salad/fruit bar. I can make salads at home. Basically, anything that I can easilly make at home in under 30 minutes I ignore. I want the stuff that at least takes at least some mild effort/time to make.

Pizza. Buffets NEVER do Pizza Right Here here good man. I don't go to buffets often, so I don't have a good list like everyone else. I don't mess with Golden coral after my cousin had apples that tasted like onions.

Salads - I once saw a kid who decided to try out almost everything on offer, made worse by the fact he pretty much licked his spoon clean each time.

I assume by "chips" you mean french fries, and one of my pet peeves is people who go to Chinese food places and get fried chicken and french fries. You don't go to IHOP and order a burger, you don't go to a Chinese place and order fried chicken and french fries. Especially the Chinese place I go to which is only two blocks away from a KFC.

Eggs on buffets are always that fake crap. Drives me bonkers.
I also hate Roast Beef/Prime Rib on buffets. Always overcooked.

Seafood, mac & cheese (the one time I tried it at a buffet, it was terrible).
