www.altpress.com/news/entry/lamb_of_god_vocalist_randy_blythe_allegedly_arrested_for_manslaughterApparently he got into a fight with a fan in the Czech Republic when they played there 2 years ago and the fan died of his injuries. Upon returning to the country for the 1st time since then for a concert today, he was arrested and charged with the person's death. On the one hand, I can believe that it happened. I love Lamb of God but I remember on one of their DVDs, a drunken Randy got his ass kicked after starting a fight with one of his bandmates. On the other hand, though, I wonder why authorities would wait for him to return to the country to arrest him as opposed to having the United States extradite him to stand trial immediately

After Dimebag I'd say he was justified, and that's probably the defense he will use.

This is why you should never go to parts of europe that are east of Switzerland Except for Denmark and (technically) The Netherlands. Maybe Greece.
Eastern europe has some quality issues to say things lightly.

The report on Wikipedia says that the fan in question was female.

Why the hell would you ever even go back to the Czech Republic?
"Oh, THIS is where I killed that guy, I forgot..."

His management issued a statement today, claiming that there never was any fight but rather the guy tried to jump the barricade twice and was stopped by security but got by on the third attempt, coming at Randy who pushed him off the stage where he hit his head, causing the injury.

If that's the case than the defense could argue self defense on Randy's part using the Dimebag incident as precedent.

Also don't forget gorgoroth (sp?) where that lead singer hung a guy upside down, cut him so blood can fill up his Brandi glass, and started drinking it. Basing this on memory and using my phone correct me if I'm wrong.

Fight those charges and use the Dimebag and other incidents of rowdy fans jumping on state and attacking performers as precedence. That's what I would do if I were him.
