From the LA Times:OK. I'm a kid of the 90s, and I love all my 90s stuff. This just might be getting out of hand.

I was hoping for Pog form..
Also...this sucks...I never liked Arsenio, especially with how self loathing he could be as a host. I remember him going the Rosie ODonnel approach with a lot of his guests. And as much as I don't like Vanilla Ice, he had no right to start shit with him over nothing.

He asked Vanilla Ice the questions at the time that nobody was willing to ask him, and both handled it professionally. If anything, Arsenio helped Ice by giving him a chance to address what was being said about him in the hip-hop community -
That's part of Arsenio's appeal, he didn't antagonize his guests, rather he approached their issues, even when things got out of hand:
Anyway, good for Arsenio. His Twitter's been great for the past 2 years and he's having a great pop culture resurgence by winning the Celebrity Apprentice.

11pm? So durring the news? LA news is on at 10, baby! Its 10 in Texas, but I thought it was using East Coast times... In that case, is Letterman going away or what? I mean this will be 3 hosts on CBS.

You can bet WWE is happy about this. Arsenio would always have WWF guys on as guests. He also stayed in kayfabe and always made the wrestlers look good.

Its not gonna work. His old show worked because it was young and hip and was a contrast to old fart Johnny Carson and a near 60 Arsenio just cant be hip.

He'll probably still be hipper than Letterman and Leno
But won't make a dent in Leno's lowbrow audience.

Its not gonna work. His old show worked because it was young and hip and was a contrast to old fart Johnny Carson and a near 60 Arsenio just cant be hip. He's already recaptured a hip audience through The Apprentice and social media. His recent documentary appearances show he hasn't aged at all. Arsenio today is easily hipper than Leno, and Letterman's audience tunes in for his ironic take on the talk show format, so there wouldn't be much of an overlap either way. Plus, there isn't really a type of voice or show comparable to what he brings to the table, so his niche could easily take off. EDIT: The only challenge would be that he's going head-to-head with Conan on TBS and Stewart/Colbert on Comedy Central. With WGN carrying much of the proposed syndicated run, Arsenio's best bet is to, like I said, find a niche that isn't offered by current late night TV and pick that up.

I saw the Celebrity Apprentice and Aubrey O' Day made fun of him for being old and for disapearring from the spoltlight. Lets see if her generation or fans/followers watch his new show.
