Just found the entire block, unedited with commercials, on VHS.
New episodes of:
Sabrina the Teenage Witch You Wish! (Sitcom about a Genie) Boy Meets World and Teen Angel (about a teen and his dead best friend)
Hosted by the star of Teen Angel.
At what point in the mid-90s did we realize that sitcoms weren't absurd enough and we had to crank the bizarre scale waaaaaaay up?

Y'know, I have absolutely no memory of You Wish! ever existing. Yet I definitely watched it, because I remember watching new episodes of Teen Angel when they first aired.
Wasn't Clueless airing during this time? Or had it already moved to... UPN, right?

I vaguely remember You Wish! It was a pretty forgettable show; so was Teen Angel as a matter of fact.

I only remember one gag from "You Wish,"
it's the genie's first time cleaning the house and he's told to do it without using his powers. When examining the cleaning utensils for the first time, he lifts up a can of Pledge and says "I promise to be the absolute best genie I can be."
He says it so deadpan serious that it made what would be a throwaway pun hilarious. Talented dude, glad he had that run.

I remember Teen Angel for one joke in the first episode.
Steve walks in and the aunt asks him if he had a bad day, he says you can't imagine. Her response is that she works for the post office, so she can imagine pretty bad.
At the time, my grandmother nights for the post office, so those kinds of jokes were commonplace in my family. It was hilarious for me to see one on TV.

When Family Matters became about Steve Urkel and his wacky inventions?

I don't remember You Wish and only vaguely remember Teen Angel. But I loved Sabrina and Boy Meets World.

Wow I must have abandoned TGIF even earlier then I thought, because I certainly wasn't watching during this era. Must have been 95 or so.

I'm sure my wife watched it all.
We still watch Sabrina together if it's on.

My wife and I LOVE Boy Meets World. I have all 7 seasons on DVD. One of the only sitcoms that I actually laugh out loud at.

Yes, Clueless was on UPN by Fall 1997. I remember Teen Angel and You Wish. I don't see the concepts as any sillier than Mork and Mindy or I dream of Jeanie(You Wish was similar with a family instead of a single man). You Wish and Teen Angel weren't as funny as those shows but they weren't that sillier either.

I always thought Sabrina aired on the WB. It moved from ABC to the WB in either late '99 or 2000 when they did the 'college years' portion of the show.

Man, I barely remember You Wish and Teen Angel, I wasn't watching that often by that point.
That said, Teen Angel is the first time I ever heard "Aw, he thinks he's people!", since I remember one episode opening with the Angel bringing a dinosaur from the past into the kitchen...which promptly started drinking a beer.

"It's Not You, It's Me..." After Shawn and Cory agree to attend the same college, Shawn learns Cory's made interview plans on his own – and the two decide it's time to go their separate ways. Meanwhile, Eric thinks befriending the dean will ease his and Jack's college experience.

If anyone's wondering, this was pretty late in the TGIF run. There was no "it's friday night, and the mood is right" jingle. Instead, we get the yellow-and-black color scheme with the sinister voice stating "YOU'VE ENTERED THE TGIF ZONE" and then cutting right to the host. That's as edgy as ABC got in the late-90s.

I only remember You Wish because I thought the little sister was cute. Turns out, she grew up alright:
