With all due respect, I've never felt the need to put my penis in, on or anywhere near Cyndi Lauper so I guess she's worse by default.

Oh come on, how can you hate on Katy Perry??? Personally, I can't stand how the tabloids keep trying to convince everyone that the divorce between her and Russell Brand was his fault. Even though they also admit that she's been partying too much and as a man ten years sober, he simply couldn't be around it. So he ended it, and let her keep the TEN MILLION DOLLARS he was entitled to. But somehow he's the bad guy? No, entertainment reporting has soured me on her the same way their sycophantic fawning turned me against Jennifer Aniston.

I like Lauper so Katy Perry is worse for me, I can't stand her music.

One who fights for LGBT causes. One who thinks bisexuality exists as a trendy way to entice men. No surprises which one I prefer.

I'm somewhat biased in that I own several of Cyndi's albums and I think Katy Perry is hideous.
So yeah...

Cyndi Lauper was a quirky, weirdo who was just being herself. She certainly didnt have a mainstream type of image. Katy Perry is basically a product of the modern pop music modern record industry. Everything about her seems fake, phoney, and very calculated. She used to be a christian artist and when that didnt work she basically had to do whatever the industry told her to do if she wanted to make it. Cyndi Lauper is more of a musician and a strong individual.

Each of them has a couple of legit brilliant songs, so musically they're about equal.
Looks wise, Katy Perry does look like a shop window dummy but I'd still take her over Cyndi with a gun to my head, so I guess it's Perry.

The modern record industry is in shambles so they had to hype up the tits and give them a big push or else she might have gotten lost in the shuffle. I mean the music is so bad so what else is there to promote ?

There's really no reason to compare them. I guess Katy Perry would be "worse", since Cyndi Lauper isn't bad in any way.

The better question is would Cyndi Lauper be able to exsist in todays pop world and Im not so sure. Maybe if she showed some skin but no one would want to see that.

Katy Perry is pretty awful. She does have boobs, but I can see better ones on the internet. So Cyndi Lauper wins because her pop fluff is a tiny bit better than Katy Perry's pop fluff.

Yes, because she's a legit great singer and there always has been and always will be a market for that as the success of Adele and even Susan Boyle proves. Katy Perry is really not in the same league from what I've heard.

No, entertainment reporting has soured me on her the same way their sycophantic fawning turned me against Jennifer Aniston. This. And as for my choice: Ill take Lauper over Perry. Lauper was an original and a much bigger force in music than most people today realize. Perry, while I dont dislike her per se, is horribly commercialized and benifits from clear channel more or less controlling the music charts
