I wish after all these years they'd have an Spider Man film open with him fighting one of his joke villains in the start of the film as an opening act much like James Bond does. Mysterio was MADE for a scenario like that! I'd like to nominate the current version of Rhino as the secondary "muscle" villain in a film. Don't know if he could carry a whole film by himself, but in the last couple years, he's taken about 50 levels in awesome. Tragic backstory+unstoppable wrecking machine=bofo box office!

I seriously doubt they'd go the Green Goblin route this soon after Spiderman 1. They need to be as different from that series as possible.

It would be completely epic if Sony and Marvel/Disney worked out a deal that allowed a crossover post credit scene.
