I just thought he had an Oliver Twist gimic or something. "More-Gruel-Please ... More-Gruel-Please ... More-Gruel-Please" I like it.

as I recall yimyac has complained about fans being manipulated by WWE, to the point of calling it brainwashing, enough to be warned by the mods. Except that never happened. It's marketing at its best. Give a guy a catchphrase, force feed it via entrance music, repeated sayings, t shirts, etc. Casuals love catchphrases, it gives them something to chant, make signs for etc. it's simple marketing psychology. I guarantee any meathead bodybuilder guy that got the exact same push as Ryback would be just as over. One of the biggest things about Goldberg was "Whose Next" He was getting some of the chants before they edited his music and gave him a shirt. This whole "anyone could have done it" is hilarious. Because its a guy with huge muscles and a bodybuilder look, it doesn't count or something. I remember when people tried to say the same thing about Batista.

That is something that does tend to bug me about wrestling fans. There tends to be this attitude that anyone who's big automatically sucks and has to prove otherwise and anyone under six feet is a god. Also a weird tendency for people to think that if you're not somewhere in the middle then you have no mic skills.

I just hate the mentality that "We" are the "real" fans and that the "casuals" are somehow beneath us.
Here's one thing I learned in wrestling school. To a lot of guys, there are two types of people that watch wrestling: fans and Internet marks. Who do you think they care about more?

That would be the difference. The fans are the ones who watch the shows, buy tickets, merch, ppvs, etc, and watch it to enjoy themselves, even if they come to a message board such as this. The Internet marks are the ones who stream ppvs illegally, go to shows and pick apart every little botch or inconsistency, and look down on the previous group

Why does this thread even have responses? It's an obvious troll post.

FEED ME MORE is an attempt to get the fans to chant something other than GOLDBERG.

Yea, I'm sure it was Vince's idea for a catchphrase just to insult fans, that makes a lot of sense Vince is so out of touch he doesn't even know what he's doing
