I haven't been too big of a Christian fan since his pre-TNA run in WWE. I just don't see him on the main event level.
So DB getting released was much more of an outrage to me.

Christian.
People were absolutely f***ing pissed, and had every right to be. Not saying it wasn't the case with Bryan, but he got hired back and all that stuff...Christian never got anything. All he got was another reign which lasted a month and went back to his roots, the mid-card.
Although Christian's situation didn't have as many pages as Bryan's,I think there was more fury in them.

The Christian thing was an example of bad planning by WWE.
I felt the storyline had potential. Christian wins the big one, then loses it so quickly. It's tragic, it's brutal.
Orton and Christian went on to have a series of truly incredible matches, and if it had led to Christian getting the belt back as a babyface, having only just tasted the real gold, it could've been an amazing feel good moment. It could truly have the feel of something major. Christian has got back the belt that we all knew in our hearts was his all along.
Instead? He turned heel. And I can't evne remember if he got the belt back at all.

Christian spat in Orton's face, Orton kicked him in the groin, Orton gets DQed, Christian wins. IIRC, Christian dropped the belt to Orton a month later at Summerslam.

It's our fault that Christian lost, so we can't blame Randy Orton or get mad about it.
I choose D-Bry.

What was kinda lost in the whole discussion was the fact that Christian only got in the title picture because Edge retired. Remember this happened after WM where Del Rio lost and it branched over to Del Rio vs. Christian because Edge couldn't compete and had to vacate the title.
I felt like they didn't really want the title on Christian but they needed a face to replace Edge so they threw it on him kinda randomly. I don't think they ever had plans for a long term Christian title run.

I'm still angry over Christian's reign. Yeah, just thinking about it pisses me off. One of the dumbest things they have ever done.

I sorta remember Bryan threads being a mix of disgust but some people being happy because then he would be in the indies again. Some people figured it was a work. It was more mixed overall.
I sorta remember the Christian threads being a lot more uniform and full of concentrated hate. Unadulterated hate. The Heat of a Thousand Suns sort of hatred and venom.
Now my memory has more gaping holes than Hollywood, but that's at least what i think I recall.

I did a happy dance when irony fan Christian lost the WHC, and certainly remember some threads complaining about it.
But when Bryan was released the entire first page of the forum was just threads about him in some way or another.
So Bryan without a doubt.

More threads doesn't nesacarily mean more anger. The D-Bry threads were a combination of anger, speculation, confusion and humour. The Christian debacle was just anger.

Personally? The Christian/Orton thing.
This board? Tiegate. No comparison.

I don't think they ever had plans for a long term Christian title run. I understand that, but you can run with it for at least a month. For me, it was clearly Christian's run. The only thing I knew about D-Bry was that he was big in the indies. So him getting fired didn't really impact me. I am a huge Christian fan, so all that feel good stuff when he won just made it that much worse. I started hitting the 5 minute skip on my dvr for a lot of Raw and Smackdown for a couple months. 2 hour shows became 25 minutes because I was so mad. Still hate Orton too.

Gotta go with Christian. When you have half the internet hating a guy like marks for something he had no control over, well, that's a special type of anger.

More threads doesn't nesacarily mean more anger. The D-Bry threads were a combination of anger, speculation, confusion and humour. The Christian debacle was just anger. Pretty much. Tiegate made for a very interesting weekend. Christian losing the title was Hell Week around here. From people swearing off WWE forever to personal attacks because someone didn't think it was a big deal he lost. There was no way you could been on the board and not known the results.
