But what worries be is that wrestling fans have now become self-apointed wrestling critics. Like restaurant and TV critics of the past, net wrestling fans now have a platform to air their opinions. So instead of becoming a forum to share views, opinions and news on wrestling, the internet has become a witches couldren for people who seek to convince themselves week after week how terrible WWE is and how awful McMahon is and how Edge losing via count out one week on Raw marks the end of the world of professional wrestling as we know it.
And in that enviroment stars WILL NOT flourish. There has been no real break-out stars in the last 6 years and there's a damn good reason for this and I think we can aportion a huge blame on the internet.

Personally, I want WWE to be successful, but damn I'd love the company heads to be humbled a bit. It's not the WWE product that pisses me off, some of the wrestlers I'm not a fan of, but they're doing their job how they're told to do it. I have a problem with "we are right, always, period, don't question, just buy" crap coming out of Stamford all the time. Lawsuits so guys you fired because they "didn't have it" couldn't work under names they'd worked under, names that would allow them to make a few hundred extra bucks? Damn, that's just greedy. Like I said, I watch both, the product isn't my favorite right now, because I like actual wrestling matches, not promo/backstage/promo/promo/no-finish match/promo/actual match/promo setups. I don't want them out of business for the same reason I want TNA to be successful, because that gives all fans more options to watch wrestling. OK, I'm done. Yeah... but Vince doesn't sue EVERYONE on the names. Is it possible that he might not even know about it? Cause I think this is something new WWE has been doing the last year at the most. I don't ever remember them doing it before. Or at least on this scale. And he REALLY won't do anything as long as you can prove that whatever name you use in WWE is something you used BEFORE WWE. Like Warrior or Honky Tonk Man.

True, Jack, but look at any pro sport anywhere in the world. If you're a, let's say Manchester United fan, and I'm Real Madrid fan (which I am), are we gonna on who's best? Probably not. Does taht make either of our opions less valid? Nope. The people in the supposed IWC are the same way. Some, such as yourself, love WWE. Others love TNA with the same passion. For thers it's ROH. For a guy like me, I just want good wrestling, dont care where I find it. Japan, Mexico, the States, Europe. Heell, I've got freaking Ulf Herman matches on tape from nearly 20 years ago. I just love wrestling, it's fun for me to watch it, talk about it, whatever. We all enjoy it as a whole, but have different tastes, and that's cool. If there's anything needed, it's a bit of civility. You and I don't agree on lots of stuff, but you love wrestling, so do I, there's common ground there, we all just need to find it. Period.

The lawsuits bare no relation to enjoyment of the WWE product.

An anti-IWC remark which wasn't provoked.
Well, it did come from a guy who thinks Batista's greatest asset is that he's "super hott omg".

Well as a Manchester United fan myself..... Criticism is fine if deserved. But this constant conveyor-belt of doom merchents fortelling the demise of WWE five times a week do become very tiring and are to blame for the negative perception many outside and many inside have of the internet.

I'm anti-Elitist. You're defending the IWC good for you. Okay defend a bunch of asses who love to complain about a product they like, and always act harsh to any criticism when it comes their way. It's like the IWC is made up of Micheal Moores. I hate that fat pig. Oh I know it's not provoked, it's just plagued every wrestling message board for the entire existence of the internet. LOL. So you only remember that I think Batista is hot.

PEOPLE PEOPLE... I think we can ALL agree that Batista is in fact a hot stud muffin. Find our simularities, not our differences, and bring us all closer together.

Many are negative for the sake of negativity, and that sucks. And it's on both sides. The sides are drawn at current between TNA and WWE. You've got the TNAOMG kill WWE. But at the same time tehre are people that say TNA is nothing, flash in the pan, that ring is stupid OMG the don't have any WWE main eventers so they suck. I've said it before, I just like wrestling, ok? That's the bottom line for me. If a company puts on a product I like, I will purchase more from taht company than from one that does not. Right now, I can find things I enjoy on both TNA and WWE, so I'm happy as hell. There are things I don't lie, so I change the channel. I say this, the majority of fans on the net don't want constant negativiety, jusdt to be entertained. It does get old when the majority of what I see is it sucks it sucks, but I can't change people's opinions, I can't force people to just enjoy what they claim to enjoy. So I'm just going to eep watching wrestling like I always have.

To get back on topic, I just figured out who needs to WWE's poster boy:
Big Vis
Why you ask? Simple. Bigger man means bigger poster means more material means "reason" for higher prices.
Besides, he's Todd Grisham's favorite.

Like with most things, i think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. And as far as I go, I don't fault either side (the IWC or the WWE apologists) for their views, and agree with different opinions of both sides.
The IWC is too negative. True. But they are paying customers, and as paying consumers of a "product", it's their right to cry out for change if they feel the product is lackluster. I don't subscribe to this opinion that if you "don't like it, turn it off". It's stupid. Because like most people, I only have minor problems with certain areas of the WWE. I don't want to turn the entire show off. I just want to see something different or new that *I* can relate to. Does this make me right? No. But since I pay money each month for PPVs I am entitled.
As for the pro-WWE types. I also see where they're coming from. It's a drag to come on to wrestling boards and hear people tear everything down, and in turn make you afraid to speak up and praise something that may have entertained you for fear of the backlash.
It's a slippery slope. And there is no right answer.
As for Cena though, I've said this before, but I think the reason he doesn't appeal to the masses (but he's monster over in certain circles) like the way a Stone Cold was is because he's targeted at a demo someone like me (a twenty something guy) can't relate to. Most People my age have outgrown the cartooniness of his character and can't relate to the demographic he's aimed at. His schtick of gay poop jokes are targeted at teenage boys, who get off on authority for the sake of it. I used to be like that, but i grew up. However, I don't fault WWE for pushing him. These kids are the ones that spend the money and buy the merch. People my age don't buy rubber knuckles and gaudy jewelry. ;D
However, I feel as a paying customer that I have the RIGHT to say I want to see someone like Christian get pushed. He entertains ME. You can like whoever you like. It's cool with me. There is no right and wrong here. Just personal tastes.

I find it quite ironic. In fact, it's VERY ironic. Listen up.
You're complaining about the members of the IWC for complaining about everything on message boards. Smell the irony. Furthermore, you vent your frustrations on message boards. Oh, the irony. But wait, there's more irony for all of us! You continue to make comments on how 'hot' Batista is right before telling me "oh yeah, Naked Mideon posters would sell by the millions" in a sarcastic manner.
And as for your previous comments on how smaller wrestlers can't draw and BATISTA IZ HOTT~! - Nobody said anything. It was unprovoked. But you know what, it doesn't matter. I can go back to watching Batista vs. Triple H, the others can go watch Paul London vs. Kid Kash, and you can watch Hogan vs. Tugboat.
