I was going to post this in one of the Facebook pet peeve threads but Search has been useless for me lately.
Has anyone ever finally been fed up with someone on FB to the point where they just flatout unfriended and blocked them?
I had friended one of the hostesses from work on FB...THE most annoying hostess. You know the kind...stands around and talks trash all night and whines and complains about how management won't move her to a better paying position when all she does is complain about her job and play on her cell phone all night.
Her boyfriend was busted recently for a string of robberies including breaking into a law enforcement vehicle and stealing equipment. She's pretty much took to FB to do NOTHING but bitch and complain about people talking trash, trying to ruin their relationship, starting rumors, I don't care what people say, blah blah blah.
If you don't care what people think, then you wouldn't be posting on FB EVERYDAY saying you don't care what people think You care. Damn.
What broke the camels back is a post she had tonight bitching out all her friends and family complaining about them texting and calling her...and she got really nasty about it. Friends and family caring about you, man, that must be a real drag.
*Block Hammer Assault*
And on that note, FB got a lot more peaceful for me.
So, what line does someone have to cross to get defriended or blocked by you FAN?

Attempting to list me as their father because "I want you to be my daddy". That. That is the greatest thing I've ever heard.

ive never had to flat out block some one on facebook but some one blocked me for the most retarded reasons even
im a member of a bunch of local oldschool video game buying and selling groups and this dude whos a friend of a friend basically trolled me and dissed me on every comment and post that i made and i pretty much ignored it for weeks. One day where he calls me an asshole because in a discussion i said i didnt like Brutal Legend, i said it was a good concept and a fun idea but the RTS gameoplay didnt work. the dude calls me and asshole so i ask him what his problem is and he shots more abuse at me and then blocks me before i can respond? wtf? and he only ever did this to me, he never did it to anyone else in the group

I recently started a new job. There's one guy there who's very nice but all he does is complain about the damn job. He hates his job so much that its ALL he talks about. I'll talk football with others and then he butts in and complains about the job. He's taken a big liking to me but i cannot stand his existence to be honest. He also comes off as the kind of guy who would put a stupid little comment for EVERYTHING I'd ever put on facebook. So I did the smartest thing possible. I found him on facebook and blocked him before he had a chance to find and friend me. I also block people for political stuff, religious stuff, ungrateful whining, posting inappropriate photos of themselves (picture big daddy v and his moobs, then picture seeing a new pic of those moobs everyday... BLOCKED) among other things. I have about 40 people on my block list so far.

One guy I knew in my second year of college friended me at it was fine at first but he was one of the people who thought it was hilarious to make fun of my accent every chance he got, and started posting stupid shit about it on every single one of my status updates, and also my comments on other peoples statuses. Naturally I deleted him and the idiot kept trying to friend me again, even though he kept pulling the same accent shit in real life and couldn't comprehend that it pissed me off, even when I made him look like a jackass several times.

Nah. The most I've ever done is quietly take some people off my newsfeed because they can't stop talking (in snarky-yet-uninformed ways) about politics. That's about half my friendslist right now because of the US election. I'll quietly put them back on once it's over.

I have unfriended people but I don't think I have ever blocked people it is usually do some of them getting carried away with politics or being doom sayers and pointing out every thing they think is going to or is happening in the world now and giving weird theories to it,Also do the same for people who just annoy me or bug me enough,It is my FB so I don't have to put up with that stuff if I don't want to.

Only once, because it was the current boyfriend of an ex I'd broken up with years before and though I was on good terms with, but according to him wasn't, so he felt the need to try and start something!

I deleted someone because they told me to block them*. Next time they saw me they were pissed that I had deleted them, which confused me x
*I had complained a couple of times about how annoying it was that they tagged themselves everywhere they went (incl different train stations they stopped at on the same journey) their crappy statuses and constantly referring to London as 'Central', leading them to say If I dont like it I should block them x

i unfollowed a friend on twitter because she retweeted everything (IE: "the sun is out"), and would post articles about where the latest sexual assault was in our area.
she unfollowed me. whatever.
on thanksgiving, she wished me a happy thanksgiving, but i didn't get the message until later because i wasn't near my computer when she sent it. so she unfriended me.

I've only blocked one person on FB and that was a girl I was interested in who rejected me. She was a mutual friend of a few of my friends so she'd keep popping up on my feed anyway so I did it just so I wouldn't be reminded of her all the time.
Usually I just unfriend people and that works fine.

I have a lot of people in my family who just post those bullshit inspirational pics or "hilarious" quotes baout why they're single, I put them on only important posts option.
Tellingly I haven't seen anything from them in months

I block two people as a pro-active measure. I blocked my older cousin that I talked about in the liar thread. I also blocked someone I used to know from high school. I'm eyelashes away from blocking a team breezy member.

I unfriended and blocked two after I found out they were the family of an asshole a friend of mine just divorced and the whole family seemingly was trying to link us as being in a relationship(which we never were and never will be in) and were trying to look for "clues" like we broke up the marriage.
I also unfriended one who was seemingly interested and then got real quiet and pulled back on me all of a sudden when I casually mentioned that I would like to spend more time with her. I can take a hint no matter how vague, so that was that.

On my old account I blocked someone who I went to high school with. Someone who was actually nice to me. But his political views... eww no.
On the other end of the stick, someone in the autism community who I thought was nice actually blocked me because I was annoyed by her constant support of a certain politician who I won't name. Dead. Serious.
Oh. Someone in my own family blocked me for supporting LGBT people.

I blocked a former co-worker of mine, because she'd post some really preachy political messages and links, mainly some feminist stuff that crossed the line into male-bashing one too many times for me.
And I blocked an old elementary school classmate, because every single day she'd post something really attitudinal and negative ("I'm a b*tch and proud of it," jokes about insanity and craziness, and things like that). I don't need such unpleasant material on my wall.

I block people who keep adding me or any one who outright stalks me on there (false account messaging etc).
I used to be very harsh with blocks but I use FB so little for genuine day to day reading and more to do with work that it doesn't bother me.
I do remove & block if I find out a person has extremist political views albeit, I never want to be associated with someone who supports the BNP or EDL (even if people think it is a lolz joke).
