I do remember him having not having a very intimidating voice; "and then i'm going to have...a beer." But that can't be the only reason. I have to echo the poster asking why he got released, I would also like to know. He can put on good big man matches, and played a variety of characters decently, as well as not being that old, so why?

I always think of him as Gallows, even if one of my friend's insisted on calling him "Fetus"(That isn't a typo BTW), even after he dropped the gimmick.
He had a good finish as Gallows though, someone should bring back the Gas Mask/12 steps/Gallows Pole/Whatever Striker called it that week.
And an awesome theme too! Ah, memories of playing SvR 11 and thinking it said "Hey, did he slap my mule?" or "Luke, you just s*at on me!"

He was worlds better as Festus. I thought he had serious potential as an awkward, meek looking babyface that could destroy people whwn warranted. As Luke Gallows, I found him the definition of bland. His weight loss actually worked against him, because a big part of his appeal before was being a big fat guy with explosive, unexpected quickness. Intead, he was just a 260-ish guy in cargo shorts working a watered down heel-henchman style.

This poll is closer than I thought. Just like Macho Man was good as a heel and face, I guess Festus was good as both.
