Just thought I'd make a thread where our UK users can explain how we are different:
1) You're never going to get a cheap pop by wearing a football jersey. Every city (apart from Leeds) has 2 teams or more. Your safest bet if you're a heel is wearing an Arsenal/Chelsea jersey in the north, a Manchester United/City jersey in the south, or if you don't value your life, any Scottish team's jersey in Glasgow (seriously, that last one is against several laws)
2) Our currency is the pound (£), NOT the Euro.

They learnt the hard way that not everywhere is 'London and proud' when they kept showing Big Ben and the Palace at the Manchester tapings a few years ago and they were thoroughly booed.
Next time they showed Manchester, which was cheered.. until they showed Old Trafford which was booed heavily.

Also, most of us will probably cheer or agree with a chuckle if you insult our hometown.

These two need to be repeated. How do so many American's not know English currency is pounds not euros? Teeth jokes don't really work for heel heat because we just find them eye-roll worthy because it's a lame and not very accurate stereotype.

I always love how WWE mess up the "home town sports" team thing in England. Like having a face come down in a Man Utd shirt only to get booed by a stadium full of City fans Cryme Tyme's "Euros euros yeah yeah!" was my favourite though.

Didn't Santino do something similar earlier this year when he came to ring wearing a bunch of soccer uniforms and kept on taking each one off one at a time as he was getting booed for it.

We will NEVER boo William Regal, because
1. He's one of us 2. He's always entertaining 3. We have very smarky audiences

Yep he kept showing hated team's shirts until he finally revealed an England shirt and everybody cheered. They do seem to be learning in that regard, JR even managed to pronounce Birmingham correctly.

Our free (well, taxed anyway) healthcare only includes non-cosmetic dental work, so we think anyone with perfectly straight, white as clouds teeth is a vain douche.

Santino seems to be the best and one of the most over people in England.
It's funny. A few years ago, they did that great in ring deal with him, Kozlov and Sheamus which got rave reviews. Basically, Santino was trying to suck up to England and dress up like English people dress, act like they act, etc, simply because he's kind of a nit wit and he doesn't get it. So what is always hilarious is when WWE does what the Santino character would do. Trying to pander and they just don't get it. I think they're getting a bit better though.

We will make the opening dark match face feel like the second coming of Steve Austin by blowing the roof off for his entrance and offence regardless of star.
I've seen it first had with Bob Holly.

any Scottish team's jersey in Glasgow. Despite recent events, this one still somehow stands.

Dude I've seen Rob Conway get huge pops in Manchester for a dark match. I'm not afraid to say I was one of those who cheered for him.

To British people Manchester (and Preston) is not "just down the road" from the Midlands.
The UK is a small island really but it made me cringe a bit when Cole/JR kept saying similar stuff, just say it's English pride (as much as I hate that phrase...) and respect from his home-town fans for doing so well, don't claim Preston is in the locality of Brum.

It's connected via the M6 so I don't get the problem.
