Well since I have not seen a Ted thread on this forum since I got here, I just decide to create one So, where does he go from here? He is in the low card as a face after what some consider a failed heel run in 2011. Is he destiny to be a jobber for the rest of his career or can his career be salvaged?

He had a bit of a small push before his injury. To be, he's ok, but I think there's nothing there really, star power wise. I don't know, I guess I just don't see it.

One thig they could do, as others have mentioned, is actually SHOW some actions in the DiBiase posse.
Backstage vignettes with him having fun loving rich guy parties ould be great, IMO. Plus it could build feudsand stories.

If this was one of those 'how to book 'em' threads, I'd say give him one last chance but make it a good one - get behind DiBiase as a face, have him feud with Cesaro and see if he catches on at all. That's one thing they haven't done; push him like they did with Cody at one point.
Personally, I don't think he's too special in any arena but he's shown flashes. They should throw him a bone before giving him the permanent distinction of being irrelevant.

He's incredibly bland. He appears to have inherited none of his father's natural charisma, and I suspect the 'E have the same opinion on that

He still does that weird walk-hopping thing right?

I dunno, I thought Dibiase was catching on as a face. Not the most charismatic, but a decent guy.

Difficult to buy him as a face with his springy step entrance. He doesn't really do alot as a face apart from being overly generic.

If they just have him go with the "I come from money" theme and have his act more like his dad I think it would get over.
it's like the opposite of Micheal Magillicutty. If he would just come out as "Average" Joe Hennig and explain that he's not like his dad but he gives it his all. I think that would get over too.
If they are going to acknowledge that these guys are 2nd/3rd generation why not run with it? They can't all be Bret Hart and The Rock. Let them embrace their roots.

You must have missed...all of 2011 then when he pretty much did the exact same gimmick, complete with Virgil. It sucked.

I do remember seeing Ted Sr taking the million dollar belt from Goldust at a PPV and wondered how that happened. So really? they had him bribe people in the audience and try to buy other superstars and it didn't get over? That makes me upset.

Let Ted feud with someone.
I have an idea...
Ted DiBiase is brought out as Alberto Del Rio's weekly jobber. The commentators are making snarky jokes about how Del Rio "does this every week". The match is your average Alberto Del Rio TV match. While Ted puts up a good fight, Del Rio wins by submission. When Del Rio goes to put the Cross Armbreaker on a second time, Ted fights back, and clotheslines him out of the ring to a huge pop. Del Rio is pissed and we have a Good Rich Guy vs. Bad Rich Guy feud.

I remember about a year ago it seemed like they had a kind of had a good thing going with him as they kind of gave him a bit of win streak and he was starting to get over with the whole Dibiae Posse thing. Then they inexplicably had him job clean to Jinder Mahal in like two minutes, pretty much killing whatever momentum he had. Then he got injured which didn't help.
I really don't like his chances going forward as he's probaly one of the biggest jobbers on the roster right now. It's not a good sign at all when your comeback match after being out for months, is getting eliminated third from a battle royal. Unfortunately he's a guy that has a pretty good chance of getting released during the Spring cleaning in April. Quite the fall for a guy who was rumored to end the Undertaker's streak just a few years ago.

Seems like a double-edged sword with him.
They use him as a heel and focus on the legacy of his dad, and it doesn't really work out (which sucks because that might've been the best way to get him over). They use him as a face, and that doesn't work out much either.

I remember teaming him up with Del Rio on WWE 12.
Honestly,it would be much more interesting than what they do as singles competitors.
