Before Fake Sting, Jeff Farmer was a wrestler named Cobra. An army/special forces-type guy. He feuded briefly with Sgt. Craig Pittman, then donned the Fake Sting gimmick for a bit until he was presumably let go and (I swear) replaced in the role by Jacques Rougeau. Uh, what? Jeff Farmer was always Fake Sting. When WCW stopped using he, he was in nWo Japan. They brought him back then and now. Jacques Rougeau was never Fake Sting, Farmer grew his hair out but he didn't have a giant bald spot. Edit: Although I guess there was other Fake Stings but Farmer was the main guy who played the role for a few years. Wow, that surprises me. In a good way, because it meant the guy was on payroll for many years - always liked him, yet always thought he didn't last long. At some point, Fake Sting's physical appearance seemed to change quite a bit, so I figured the guy under the facepaint had changed. And I swear I heard Jacques was Fake Sting for a while - my bad. Like "surfer" Sting, I recall Cobra/Farmer having a very well-toned muscular physique. But over time, I guess (like Sting himself, who seemed to change physically w/o wrestling for a year) he lost that look and thus appeared different.

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that Farmer still wrestled well into the 2000s as "NWO Sting" in Japan.
