There goes the season, possibly. Now was the WORST possible time to get hurt. DAMN YOU CHIEFS. Also this doesn't help: "Leftwich is 0-6 in his last six games as a starter, his last victory coming on Oct. 8, 2006" But then again, this is long term planning I suppose, which I guess is the right move. Can't have Ben get banged up any worse.

And he gets to start against the Ravens.
I usually love Steelers-Ravens because they play some of their best football against each other and usually makes for some classic games. But this is going to be a slaughter. Pittsburgh is just fortunate that the Ravens Defense isn't as great as it usually is.

SVP and Russillo make fun of it all the time. SVP said the best part of working on the radio is that he can say whatever he wants. Russillo just loves hating on the Jets. Doug Gottlieb even admitted recently that being forced to talk about Tebow is one of the reasons he left for CBS. Speaking of which, a bunch of nameless Jets defensive starters came out and said that Tebow sucks. Now they're dealing with backlash for not manning up and putting their name to their statements. Pete Carroll also talked earlier this week about how surprised he and his OL were with how sloppy the Jets D plays

A defensive starter tells the Daily News that Tim Tebow is "terrible."
Per the report, more than a dozen players and members of the Jets believe Tebow is "simply not very good." The "prevailing thought" is that he's "nothing more than a gimmick.
If Tebow was showing anything at all in practice, the Jets would have yanked Mark Sanchez by now. "It's not even close," LG Matt Slauson said. "All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don't really have a choice
A source tells ProFootballTalk.com that Michael Vick's concussion is truly "significant."
Matt Cassel will start Sunday's game against the Bengals.

And I'm loving a bunch of former players (including Hines Ward and Mark Schlereth) coming out and pointing out that Tebow beat them last year so they have no room to talk. And that they say they can't win with Tebow, but analysts point out they aren't winning now

Tebow may be "terrible", but at this point is it going to hurt the Jets that much to try him out? I mean, is it really? It sure as hell didn't hurt us, and that's after Orton did his absolute best to dig our hole deeper than it ever had been - he may be not be a world-beater, but at this point the Jets have nothing to lose.

I'm sure a lot of people would've said that the Broncos couldn't win with Tebow, yet they became must-see TV in the 4th Quarter, when Tebow Hulked up and won games. Nobody is saying that Tebow is a fundamentally sound QB. It's simply that whenever he steps foot on the field for a considerable length of time, magic happens. He's already turned one season around for an NFL team. People just want him to be given the chance to do it again.

Rotoworld Man that's got to suck when a terrible QB like Sanchez is the best hope. Wow. (unless the Jets are playing the Colts then Sanchez looks like the next Montana)

The majority of the Tebow wins were ugly, but my God were they fun to watch. That Pittsburgh playoff game is the most fun I've had watching a Bronco game ever - a close second is our first game with the Chargers this season. The kid makes things happen. It may be ugly to watch sometimes, but he wins games - I don't see the harm in trying him out.

If Mark Sanchez throws 4 picks against the Rams (and they really bottled up a superior 49ers team as a road team), I bet the Jets will STILL believe in him.
The Jets are freaking morons- this is the equivalent of if Kyle Orton wasn't pulled by Denver last year at this time
Jets players criticizing Tebow- talk about giving Sanchez a leash!

Responding to anonymous Jets players ripping Tim Tebow in a New York Daily News article, coach Rex Ryan insisted he's happy Tebow is a Jet, but that "we never brought him on here to be the starting quarterback."
Rotoworld's take
If the Jets aren't willing to turn to Tebow now, it's fair to say his acquisition was little more than a publicity stunt that's spectacularly backfired.

His competition would be Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne But yeah the Jets are so focused on getting more press than the Giants, it's sad. Look at how they treat anytime they end up playing the Giants. Giant players kind of roll their eyes and are sick of all the yapping.

ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported on NFL Live Wednesday that doctors have advised Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) to not return until his partially dislocated rib is completely healed, and "that could take up to six weeks."
Accoridng to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears are "not overly optimsitic" about Jay Cutler's (concussion) Week 11 status.

Hearing that the rib issue could potentially be fatal. That is worrying as f***! That's gotta be fixed QUICK. He really might be done for the year.
