Looks like the Steelers will be counting this as a "rebuilding" season assuming Roflsberger doesn't make it past next week. Although the Pats do have some significant problems in the secondary, so it's really hard to gloat at this point.

The Giants worked out free agent RB Joseph Addai on Tuesday.
Cowboys placed LE Kenyon Coleman on injured reserve with a torn triceps, ending his season.

I'm not sure now how serious Ben's injury is. I'm not doubting that he is, in fact, hurt... but, considering all that he's played through and the injuries he's gotten during a game and continued on.. I'm thinking we'll see him in three weeks against the Ravens.
Not sure about Troy, but with Clark out, this would be a good time for him to come back.

That's the only reason I can think of. Ball security is apparently still a pretty big issue for Wilson, but he's got too much talent to just not play. He should've been in some plays during the 4th quarter of the Bengal game in what was essentially garbage time, anyway. He's never going to get better at handling the ball if you don't play him.

It's not that he's really hurt, but it's the fact that his dislocated rib is dangerously close to his aorta. If the rib damages that, we'll refer to him as the late Ben Roethlisberger. Good that he's sleeping in a chair. If he even fell out of bed, it could be a wrap for him.

I got a hilarious mental image in my head of an unemployed David Wilson, lounging on the beach with a phone next to him - eagerly awaiting a phone call.

I'm sure a lot of people would've said that the Broncos couldn't win with Tebow, yet they became must-see TV in the 4th Quarter, when Tebow Hulked up and won games. Nobody is saying that Tebow is a fundamentally sound QB. It's simply that whenever he steps foot on the field for a considerable length of time, magic happens. He's already turned one season around for an NFL team. People just want him to be given the chance to do it again. Absolutely. The majority of the Tebow wins were ugly, but my God were they fun to watch. That Pittsburgh playoff game is the most fun I've had watching a Bronco game ever - a close second is our first game with the Chargers this season. The kid makes things happen. It may be ugly to watch sometimes, but he wins games - I don't see the harm in trying him out. There's a lot of differences between Tebow on the Broncos and Tebow on the Jets. The Broncos at least had some personnel to play the read option Tebow is comfortable in and it was something that threw a lot of teams off-guard because they hadn't seen it before. But defenses have caught up to it now and the Jets are a far less talented and much worse coached team than the Broncos were last year. Tony Sparano is a miserably bad offensive coordinator who makes Brian Schottenheimer look like Bruce Arians. He has no idea what he's doing, and neither does Rex Ryan. And both Sanchez and Tebow have suffered for it. Another thing with the Jets is that that locker room is in turmoil, with Tebow's presence contributing significantly to that. While I think very little of Tebow's ability to be an NFL quarterback, one thing he was able to do with the Denver team last year was unite them around his leadership. I don't think he'd be able to do it with these Jets players if he hadn't done so already. Besides, when he was on Denver he was the force of personality for that team. On the Jets, it's Rex Ryan. Those ugly Bronco wins also had an element of (bad) luck and outright bad football to them, too. If Marion Barber didn't decide to become the world's stupidest football player last year, the Broncos go 7-9 and don't make it to the playoffs.

According to FOX's Jay Glazer, the Raiders anticipated a 2-4 week absence when Darren McFadden went down with a high-ankle sprain in Week 9.

Responding to anonymous Jets players ripping Tim Tebow in a New York Daily News article, coach Rex Ryan insisted he's happy Tebow is a Jet, but that "we never brought him on here to be the starting quarterback." Rotoworld's take If the Jets aren't willing to turn to Tebow now, it's fair to say his acquisition was little more than a publicity stunt that's spectacularly backfired. And really smart move to say you never brought him in to be the starting QB. That's going to help you at the bargaining table when trying to trade him, or get him to re-sign. Teams and Tebow know you don't want him, so now teams will offer less to get him. I love them ripping how he plays in practice. Did they not watch last season? Like has been said, the guy's a leader. He may suck in practice, but when it comes to actual games the guy more often than not, wins. Hell, how many guys have been awesome in practice, but when it comes to a game, just flat out suck? f***, Mark Sanchez is one of them.

I don't think he ever had a complete quarter where he looked good in an actual game, however.

You'd think there would be something you could do with Tebow. I mean even as a Fullback/RB hybrid who sees 10-15 snaps a game its better than throwing him in there as QB a couple time a game and running him right at the nose tackle

They really have no idea what they're doing offensively. I mean, take the Seahawks game for example. Mark Sanchez throws what's probably his best pass of the day. It was a 32 yard bomb. Start of something on offense that could at least get them into field goal range and the momentum to build something. What happens? They put in Tebow for the next play who does nothing. Then they put Sanchez back in and he's all out of sorts and the potential drive is already dead.
Right now Mark Sanchez is not a good quarterback. But he hasn't been given a chance to turn into one this season. Every time he starts to get going, they put Tebow in, who does nothing, and then they're back to square one. No other starting quarterback has to deal with this like Sanchez does. Not the Tom Bradys and Peyton Mannings. Not the Joe Flaccos. Not the Robert Griffins or Andrew Lucks. Not even the Blaine Gabberts and Jake Lockers have to deal with this kind of crap that Sanchez is being put through. And it's because Woody Johnson is a fame whore and Rex Ryan and Tony Sparano are complete idiots at coaching offense. Add in backwards slide of talent since the 2009 team, which replaced a lot of solid, tough role players with problem child "star" players and you have a total mess on your hands that everyone with a brain could see coming. Except the Jets themselves, that is. They dug their own graves here.

Woody Johnson also insisted that bringing in Tebow was not a publicity stunt or a move to sell tickets/PSL's, but a football move.
In other news, Woody Johnson's mouth is a womb of lies.

I know Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't perfect, but compared to the Jets QB situation, he's practically a god.
The NY QB power rankings: Eli > Fitzpaterick > Sanchez > Tebow

Stupid Question:
Take your favorite team, and pretend ALL the QB's on the roster just came down with MASSIVE ANAL BLEEDING. You NEED a QB and the only two available are Matt Cassel and Tim Tebow.
Who do you pick and why?
Being a Vikings Fan, I guess I kinda have to pick Tebow because at least a Peterson/Gerhardt/Harven option run by Tebow would at least be interesting.

Figured it was about time to do an updated QB power rankings, so here it is (using current starters, so no Big Ben, Cutler, or Alex Smith for this one):
1. Peyton Manning - Denver Broncos 2. Aaron Rodgers - Green Bay Packers 3. Matt Ryan - Atlanta Falcons 4. Drew Brees - New Orleans Saints 5. Tom Brady - New England Patriots 6. Josh Freeman - Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7. Matt Schaub - Houston Texans 8. Andy Dalton - Cincinnati Bengals 9. Robert Griffin III - Washington Redskins 10. Russell Wilson - Seattle Seahawks 11. Philip Rivers - San Diego Chargers 12. Joe Flacco - Baltimore Ravens 13. Carson Palmer - Oakland Raiders 14. Ryan Fitzpatrick - Buffalo Bills 15. Matthew Stafford - Detroit Lions 16. Christian Ponder - Minnesota Vikings 17. Sam Bradford - St. Louis Rams 18. Tony Romo - Dallas Cowboys 19. Eli Manning - New York Giants 20. Jake Locker - Tennessee Titans 21. Andrew Luck - Indianapolis Colts 22. Michael Vick - Philadelphia Eagles 23. Cam Newton - Carolina Panthers 24. Jason Campbell - Chicago Bears 25. Blaine Gabbert - Jacksonville Jaguars 26. Byron Leftwich - Pittsburgh Steelers 27. Mark Sanchez - New York Jets 28. Ryan Tannehill - Miami Dolphins 29. Brandon Weeden - Cleveland Browns 30. Colin Kaepernick - San Francisco 49ers 31. Matt Cassel - Kansas City Chiefs 32. John Skelton - Arizona Cardinals
