I'm really excited for Gleeson. Never expected an Irish actor to get into this! I really like him, always found him likeable in everything I've seen him in. I watched About Time the other day, not a bad film but he was so damn loveable in it. He's got good acting chops, though given his dad is Brendan Gleeson, that is to the surprise of no-one. I wouldn't mind seeing him play a sith. He can do that gaunt skeletal look really well.

It took that photo for this to really sink in, we're getting another Star Wars. It's actually happening.

I can't wait for Szar Wars. I just bet somewhere down the line that becomes the "GINO" or "Zilla" tagline for anyone that doesnt like Abrams' style to disregard the sequels

They didn't happen now I've decided. SO... OMG WE'RE FINALLY GETTING A NEW STAR WARS AFTER 31 YEARS!

I like wise old Jedi Master Luke but seeing an old Han and Leia will be weird. I don't see Han surviving episode 7.

As someone that was a big fan of the films - including the prequels - this is the first time I'll allowing myself a little fanboy glee at seeing them all at the read-through. Up to this point I've very much been keeping a lid on it, and still am cautious. But this made me grin.
I watched New Hope when I was 2, during the 1980 re-issue. SW has always been one of the background drumbeats of my geekdom.

I don't get all the hate for the prequels. I'd rank Revenge of the Sith in a tie with The Empire Strikes Back as my favorite of the series.

The Phantom Menace is not as bad in hindsight,a few changes here and there would make it better, but Attack of the Clones is a black hole of suck that drags the other prequels down by association.

I've seen fanedits that have made Phantom Menace a fairly strong movie by trimming a lot of the fluff that dragged it down. Not so with Attack of the Clones because the central story of Anakin and Padme is so badly-executed no amount of editing can redeem it, and there's simply not enough story in the Obi-Wan section to make up for it.

I don't think A New Hope and Return of the Jedi were all that either. I just think Empire Strikes back and Revenge of the Sith were both great so I rank the trilogies equally. I'd rank them: Empire Strikes Back Revenge of the Sith A New Hope Attack of the Clones Return of the Jedi The Phantom Menace
