I don't hate the guy, but he's always been sold to us as this big mean badass. And yes, he's big. But thats all he is. He's like the Salvation Army Andre. I tried to think of one match in particular of Big Show's, but I can't think of any. I've seen a bazillion of his matches, but if you asked me to name one, I can't or barely can. He changes his alignment more than anyone in history it seems, but I dunno, he just seems like he should've been more than what he has been.

I loved his ECW champ run. It seems like he got busted open or went through a table every week. it was awesome.

I can think of some good Show matches that I enjoyed.
Show vs Lesnar Show vs Rock vs Triple H vs Foley Show vs Bryan Show vs Henry Show vs Cena (numerous) Show vs Sheamus last ppv (surprisingly good)
He's had some nice ones especially for a guy his size. Honestly he's done so much and even if people dislike him you can't deny he can work with what they give him. He's been around a good while. To add onto that Big Show's pretty much on the upper tier of the roster. If you beat Big Show, heel Big Show that is, then you're a threat. That's it.

Big Show accomplished just enough that when someone beats him, it means something (i.e. John Cena at WM20).

Big Show vs. Mark Henry at Vengeance or Big Show vs. Sheamus at Hell In A Cell have been two of his best matches ever and they were only a year apart recently.

Seriously? Besides WM20, have those two ever had a match that didn't stink?

When you kick your career off by helping a mummified yeti sodomize Hulk Hogan, it's all downhill from there.

Seriously? Besides WM20, have those two ever had a match that didn't stink? I enjoyed when Cena was thrown through the light and hey I enjoy when people one-up Cena as rare as it is especially in Show's fashion. Show does it in a way that he's always dominant so really it's all ok for me. Although I will admit it's good when there's a third person involved like Punk for example.

I'm actually really enjoying him lately. Less Iron Clad contract more bad ass giant. It's perfect.

I think Show is a guy who has peaks and falls, he's not consistently up there doing awesome things but every now and again he hits something great and finds himself in a role he can play and it just works. Off the top of my head I have enjoyed:
Cena/Show (Smackdown) Lesnar/Show (Smackdown) Angle/Show (Smackdown) ECW Champion Run Kane/Show Jerishow ShowMiz Show/Henry (Smackdown) Show/Sheamus
Not bad for a guy I generally don't care that much about, I definately couldn't write the same list for a lot of other guys.

I have enjoyed a lot of his work in the past (ECW, Smackdown 2003 throwing people off stages etc, hi 2008 return, his first year or two in the company) but the fact that he is WHC in 2012 just isn't right

Big Show is actually more underrated then overrated. I have liked a lot of his matches.
He is pretty good for a guy that big.

Here is my take on the whole situation. Big Show is who he is a big man Giant. He is not ment to be the guy who gives you a 5 star classic every week. He is the larger then life attraction. Honestly you rip on him and call him a poor man's Andre the Giant if you will. Now when you think of Andre let me ask you this, what is the first then you think of when you hear his name? Likely his match with Hogan at WM 3. Which the match was iconic because of the crowd and what the match itself did for Hogan.
Now was that match itself was it that good? No. The ring work was really terrible. But what made that match special was the story behind it and how that built it up and promoted it. You take away the hot 93,000 fans. You have a crapfest more then likely. I mean watch the match in mute and see the difference. How the crowd made it special. Must like Hogan vs. Rock. WM was awesome because the crowd. Everyone talks about it. The rematch at NWO the next year gets hardly notice because it wasn't that special or had the same feeling at WM.
Big Show on the other hand. Can still have a solid match. Is a match better seller to moves. The guy had a good match with Daniel Bryan because he sold for him and bumps around like crazy. Big Show while big as a different selling style and a lot of times works a different style of match compared to Andre.
Andre was always the challenge is knocking him down period. Big Show sells but the challenge is to keep him down and take the raw power offense. Which is another thing Big Show does more. He is more about his Raw power and Andre was all about just using his size on people.
Andre hit you hard with Headbutts and chops and sits in you or does anything that allows him to put his weight on you. While Show does that a little. Show likes to throw you around and slam you down. The point is Big Show is ment to be the guy if you take him down then you somebody.

Not one mention of Show/Mayweather? That match had no business being as entertaining as it was, and the credit all goes on Show for that.

Big Show just had a good match against Sheamus last PPV.
I went into that thinking wow this is going to be garbage. Might have been the best match of the night though.
