When Miz finally got in the Traditional Survivor Series match (and ran wild for a bit), I could've sworn I heard Cole say "Miz, who defeated Dolph Ziggler in a hard fought match on Main Event this week!" which makes no sense because they're scheduled for next week.
So...is my crazy hearing just making stuff up? I didn't see others talking about it, so there is a serious chance that it is.

No, you're right.
Cole was off all night, I mean I don't know how you mix up a pumphandle slam and the Wasteland.

Didn't someone in the thread say that he also said Orton's team beat Barrett's last year?

Exhibit #eleventybillion on why Cole is horrible. How they can't realize this and act on is one of the greatest failures this company has perpetrated.

But he did give us the greatest call in the history if the sport tonight. Forget "as God is my witness, he's broken in half", nothing can top "Dolph Ziggler was cocked and loaded, and he went off in Randy Orton's mouth."

That was Cole, JBL gets props for being the only person on commentary who seriously tried to get over Tensai post-failed gimmick. I was enthralled to hear about him being the only gaijin who made it as 2-time New Japan Pro HC.

Didn't someone in the thread say that he also said Orton's team beat Barrett's last year? Yeah, he said that too. Now Lawler was the one who called one of the Colons "Carlito."

It makes things seem more real, and I imagine it drives Vince nuts.

Most of these things are irrelevant. It's not like they're saying something like 'The Miz, who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio is the son of former Reds owner Marge Schott, who was a racist and used to have hate sex with black guys.'
