So long story short, I spent all day yesterday and even pulled an all nighter studying for a Calculus III test I had today. I'm probably still going to fail it and will probably end up with a C in the class.
It's just so goddamn frustrating how despite my best efforts I still messed things up because I just get too nervous taking the tests and blank or make stupid mistakes. This this has ruined my whole day and it'll be eating at me this whole time until I know for sure how bad the damage is.
Anyways the point of this thread is to see if any other FANers have gone through something similar with a class in school.

Can you talk to your professors about test taking anxiety? Aren't there alternative tests for it?

In the future, your teachers/professors may be willing to discuss an alternative method to make you less anxious during test taking.
I have made numerous modifications to tests for my students. I'm sure other teachers would, at least, consider a different approach with you (no guarantees, of course).

It really sucks though because its not like i don't understand the material, I just don't feel comfortable working out 5-6 hard Calculus problems with multiple parts to them in a span of an hour and 15 minutes. I feel like I don't have enough time.

I have had a very similar problem just with essays, I spoke to my professor because I felt like I was going to fail and do horrible, he asked me how would I feel more comfortable and I told him if possible in the library, with a little extra time and he said that was fine.

I don't know why, but I thought of this when I read your post - it sounds like you need a good guy Greg Jennings in your life. Kicker had missed two field goals, so he was trying to cheer him up Seriously, though, I hope that gif cheers you up a little bit. I've been there many times myself, and it sucks - so I hope it works out for ya, man.

A C isn't awful. You passed. Unless you have a scholarship on the line, a C is perfectly acceptable in college. Your future employers aren't going to care about a C you got in some class. You'll be more than okay. Grades are important, but I found that internships are way more important in college.

I can't relate in a college level, but I can recall many times staying up late in high school trying to study and stressing out about it. You just gotta try your best and relax.

I just don't like to get Cs, especially when I'm constantly busting my ass for this class.

If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure I'd fail my cousin's 1st grade math quiz.
I'm not joking. I bet I would.

However, there may be something you can do about future tests. The worst thing that can happen is they say "no." If they do, then oh well...you tried. You don't know unless you try, though.

It could worse.
Trust me. Some of the problems some people on this forum got right now... really could be worse.

A few things I learned with hard classes... - ALl nighters make things worse - A C just means you either challenged yourself or were lazy. And if it's calc 3, I doubt it was the latter. The only people who care about your GPA are grad schools, and you can get into them even if you have a few C's.
