Ryback is good at promos. Feed me more" is a good catchphrase, and I like him talking about being hungry for competition, destruction, championships, etc. But Ryback is being Flanderized into a food-obsessed wrestler.

"I have an appetite for destruction. I will devour all in my path. Its just food, its not love. FEED ME MORE!"
etc etc. Too gimmicky, although he's always been a decent talker, even in Nexus.

Get rid of the food puns. Awful.

A single food mention would be fine for me, but he did way too many. I like his low growly delivery. Even in such short promos he's done you can tell he's more comfortable at it than many others. Right, He is definitely comfortable with what he's is doing. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he practices in a mirror constantly, but they gotta write these a little better. It's almost parody amounts of food/hungry references. And what kills me is usually Cole over explains every minor detail about what we are watching, you would think he would say, just once, Rybacks hunger is a metaphor or something. ON top of when he took two subway sandwiches he comes off as just a guy who is starving. watch the Al Snow video. Ryback loves food so associating his job with food guarantees passion in every delivery.

I think in the long run Ryback should keep the food puns. If he ever goes monster heel turn he can then cut ridiculous Warrior-esque promos peppered with demonic 'Taker-esqueness and Stone Cold (also Biker 'Taker)-esquish redneck racial insensitivity:
Ryback: "I hunger for the souls of weak Superstars! My favorite seasoning is the fear they feel in their hearts when I'm ready to FINISH EATing... but you little Rey Mysterio? Boy, your bones won't even be worthy to pick my teeth, son!"

I like Ryback's promos they are short and to the point and fit with his character. The only thing I wish is he would say "yip yip what it do" at some point.

I don't understand why they clearly instructed him to stare into the hard camera to deliver the promo but aside for the first few seconds they filmed it entirely using the in-ring camera so he just looked like an arse looking the wrong way.

I kinda like the food analogies. They help him stand out, and his delivery is threatening enough to where he can get away with a few of them without turning into a clown.

I can't help but laugh, he still seems like an incognito pothead gimmick.
I still like Ryback though, the puns are cool with me. I wanna hear a promo for if he ever gets the WWE title, talking about how he's full.
