Hopefully he is ok, but even if the Injury is serious....vacating the title is alot better then losing it to the Rock.

He looked like he hurt his leg, so we'll see. I'm hoping it's not like a John Cena situation, where I think his mega reign of 380 days was ended by something like that I think.
Actually, Mr. Anderson was in the match that he got injured him, I think it was after a hip toss so it seemed like a freak accident. But obviously, Anderson took the blame for taking out their longest reigning champion in 25 years.

Punk's reign as it stands is only going on this long because they booked Rock for the Rumble and didn't want to do Rock/Cena II there. Had Rock not been booked for the title match, Punk probably would have dropped it at NoC. |

Wrestletaint.gov is reporting the x-rays Punk is referring to actually belong to Dave Meltzer. Meltzer got injured last week trying to break up the Morrison-Melina fight. I guess Meltzer gave Punk clearance to pick up the x-rays from the hospital. That's why he is mentioned in the tweet.

When is vacating the title ever any better than giving someone the rub, even if it is the Rock? Nothing more anti-climatic than a year long reign ending in a vacated title. Just ask Cena. |

It would suck if he had to miss out on a match with The Rock. Punk could be missing BOTH legs and would still show up for the biggest match of his career. |

He was favoring that knee pretty good last night and I cannot think of a storyline reason why. Plus there has been talk of him working pretty banged up with some possible bad injuries since Summerslam.

I think if Punk can last till at least Wrestlemania, I'd take the belt off him and give him some extended time off to refresh. Plus, with a run like that, it's best to just get him off tv for awhile because he's going out practically on top, and it wouldn't be the best idea to have him job the next couple of pay per views.

He was clearly favoring it on RAW and he hurt it on the double team suplex with Cena on Ryback at SurSer. If you watch it when Ryback goes through the table the front part comes down on Punks knee pretty hard.
