It's similar to the other brands and doesn't just feature the rookies. It has guys like Reks, The Usos, Barreta, etc in it as well.
Now if only Superstars would update itself to date.

I'm watching it now and I said to myself "finally, they've stopped pretending it's just a competition between rookies." They pretty much give you the nXt "roster" in the video, including recent add-ons
Titus O'Neil Derrick Bateman Darren Young Percy Watson Johnny Curtis Yoshi Tatsu Tyson Kidd JTG Maxine AJ Kaitlyn Tamina The Usos Trent Barretta Curt Hawkins Tyler Reks Michael McGillicutty Alex Riley
A nice, small roster a la WWECW to build around. Add in their "special guests" every week and it becomes an interesting show. I actually enjoy it every week

You'd think they would wait until Episode 100 to debut the new intro, but either way, I hope they introduce a title and some more veteran talent to reintroduce the spirit of the final year of ECW.

It's not relegating guys like Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, Big Show, Mark Henry, and Christian to a minor third brand.

I think the main problem with them is they're the jobber roster.

When the main event is Titus O'Neil/Darren Young/Derrick Bateman/Johnny Curtis, it's hard to watch the whole show. If there was a champ that all those guys were coming for, a veteran guy that's not doing much right now, the show would be much better. ECW without Christian would have been bad, and their roster at least had guys like Regal and Dreamer that the fans have invested in. I like Barreta, Kidd, The Usos, Maxine, AJ and some others, the show could just use a "top" guy that the other guys are striving to beat.

I think the main problem with them is they're the jobber roster. Which means they all are on even footing. I like that because you can't just look at a match on paper and easily predict the winner. No Randy Orton vs. Jinder Mahals or Cena vs. Mike McGillicutty squashes... just pure wrestling matchups. Not everybody is into the "wrestling" aspect of the sport, but if you are, you can appreciate young talent just being able to go out there and shine in non-squashed fashion. I think they DO need something to be fighting FOR though.

They need to merge NXT and Superstars and give them a lower-card title.

For awhile, Raw and Smackdown were on even footing, then ECW came about, and it was on even footing, but eventually, ECW was buried and thought of as a lesser brand, and in turn, people were turned off of the "lesser brand". It's just another "lesser brand", especially on a roster that's shallow enough as it is.

The problem with everyone being on equal footing is that no one can get over by beating someone else. It's just even steven booking that goes nowhere, save for some random wacky storyline they throw on.

Have they got rid of the redemption idea in the actual show now? What about the prize of entering season 5

More importantly, how many redemption points has Jey Uso acquired to date?

Have they got rid of the redemption idea in the actual show now? What about the prize of entering season 5 At this point there is no competition (they haven't had a challenge since October) and most of the feuds are between the non-rookies or aren't exclusively between the rookies.
