So...was this just dropped?
Punk's twitter bio still says "Currently mad at OZ." And he never STOPPED being mad at Nash, who was, after all, the reason he lost the WWE title in the first place. He wanted a match with Trips, but he also wanted Nash. And Nash pretty much cost him the match at NoC, but Punk went for the title instead of finishing business with Nash. Now that Punk's the champ, I don't think he really cares much about Nash anymore, but is this going to pop up again? It'd have to be Nash that starts it though, going after Punk and the belt, but I think Nash could make a decent challenger for Punk's title, since the feud is right there and it's someone the audience is very familiar with. And they DID work pretty well together, with Punk being able to spew plenty of venom at Nash and Nash being easily hateable. Yeah, the match won't be great, but I have enought faith in Punk that he could make it decent. Thoughts?

If they have a match, it should be a straight-up squash for Punk over Nash.
But I really think the ship has sailed on that match being of interest to anyone (if it ever was to begin with).

Hey, they need somebody whom people actually give a damn about to wrestle Punk at 'Mania, and it looks like Hunter's going to be busy with Undertaker again.

Gotta disagree that they worked well together. Every time they had a promo together I found it awkward to watch. Nash just isn't believable at this stage in his career as the badass monster, and he couldn't keep up with Punk on the mic. It was cringeworthy watching him rant about shit that happened in 1995 in front of a visibly indifferent crowd.
The whole feud felt like a massive step down from the brilliant Punk/Cena stuff, in fact it turned me off WWE altogether for a few months. I really hope this is one of those things they cut their losses with and just pretend never happened. Punk deserves better.

The Oz line was something he wanted to update, but Twitter wasn't letting him for whatever reasons. He answered that question like 2 weeks ago, I think.

Just re-watching the segment where the match for NoC that never happened was booked made me think how badly they f***ed up by not having Trips turn heel to give Punk a compelling antagonist to rail against. Mr. Excitement is great and all, but that's what the storyline really needed and what Punk needed to really put him on top. Plus it really made sense. The reveal that it wasn't Trips or even Steph texting Nash but...Nash himself really killed what should have been a great angle. They were too afraid to pull the trigger on turning HHH, and the product really suffered for it. Everything turned out alright, but it could have been SO much better.

I'm done with wanting to see Nash vs. Punk. I didn't even want to see it the first time, but I accepted it as a logical progression to him fighting the mastermind (probably Triple H). Now we don't even have that story anymore so we'd have to have their feud dredging up stuff that happened last summer and Nash's awkward mic work?
Sounds just awesome.

Considering Punk got the belt back and that Triple H killed Nash at TLC, I can't see anything else happening there.

I want to see Nash take the GTS though. Can't be any worse than how he took the Pedigree.

I had some interest in a feud with those two, then they changed their minds in the middle of it.. Ever since then, I couldn't care less if they make this match or not.

Nash should of returned as a bodyguard type gimmick for Trips or JL. What helped make Austin/McMahon so compelling were the odds Austin vs. Vince and his corporation. They should of done something similiar with Punk up against Triple H his CLIQ friends and his father in laws company. Its your classic David vs. Goliath story and instead we got nothing of the sort.

I think they can put Miz in either brand's title match based on being champ last year and what the other two guys in that main event are doing

It's just bizarre how pointless Nash's return wound up being when it could have been something more.

Nash should never have been on my television. Not even the promos were worth it.

It's a shame because I think nash with his tna paparazzi production antics against CM Punk would have made a nice mini feud and they could have had one good match ending with an Anaconda Vice

You mean Nash one-upped Punk twice (he two-upped him!) and didn't get his comeuppance? Sounds pretty typical of him to me.
