He was still in charge when he got laid out by Nash, they just made Johnny Ace the GM (which was confusing as to what exactly that meant but okay...) then they had him come back and vanquish Nash...completely forgetting suit HHH in the process. So did they just forget? Because he's apparently back to being a "Special Attraction" wrestler, likely challenging for the Streak at 'Mania, with all authority duties seemingly put onto Johnny Ace now. He hasn't been back since the match with Nash, even though he's apparently fine now. What gives? Did they just forget that he has a job to be doing or are they ignoring it purposefully? Has the whole thing just been dropped? They haven't even referenced the fact that the COO is back, or anything about it at all.

I.....honestly can't remember. The only thing I know is that once Ace became Raw GM, he ordered HHH to be an active competitor.
I presume they'll explain that Haitch lost his COO priviledges either when Ace took over, or when Nash injured him.

The COO probably doesn't need to be on TV all the time. Even Vince's appearances were sporadic in recent years.

I feel this way too, but then again it's like since he returned he hasn't done ANYTHING authority-wise, and Johnny Ace is pulling crap all over this place without Trips stepping in even a little...even though they made it clear that Triple H still runs the show.

Well Vince did the whole relieving him of his duties speech that Trips did to Vince, so I guess while Vince is still CEO with no actual power, HHH is COO with no actual power.

I believe it was explained that HHH is still the COO and Ace still works for him, but Ace has seniority when it comes to Raw.

Yeah, HHH had to step back from making decisions about the weekly TV product as part of the agreement to get the walkout to end.
He did this with Smackdown voluntarily the day after the walkout, since he doesn't care about Smackdown, but then the next week on Raw he had to be removed from control of Raw against his will.

I hope it gets to a point where nearly everyone in the company holds their positions, but with no power, so that the only one who can actually legally run the show would be Scruffy the Titan Towers janitor or something.

I'll be honest, I'd completely forgotten that HHH was the COO. No wonder I'm such a big fan, I forget everything that they're hoping people will forget.

The whole thing was/is just a mess, it's best that everyone just forgets about it and HHH stays off tv.

I really, REALLY think Trips was supposed to turn heel on Punk and didn't want to, hence the lack of direction with his character now. Which f***ed a lot of things up, mainly robbing Punk of a compelling antagonist for the fans to root against, as Trips plays one of the most hateable heels i've ever seen (Mr. Excitement is great and all, but not really EVIL, although I do like that about him)

It's been said many times about him, by Foley and others, that Triple H LOVES being a heel, and doesn't mind making himself look like a complete prick if it gets him boos. It's just a shame he hasn't done it in a long time.

I wonder if WWE is ever going to hire an actual COO.

He is but he doesn't directly run the shows anymore...I think.

Why they didn't do heel Triple H vs. face Punk as the big match for the summer... I'll never know. Honestly I'm tired of Triple H, nash, Undertaker working with each other who instead should be putting over the young guys...

Actually, to correct what I said earlier, it might not have been Triple H himself who turned down the heel turn, but I'm convinced there was a plan there, and it was scrapped because SOMEONE didn't want to pull the trigger. Either way, it just smacks of WWE starting to change things up and then backing out at the last minute, which is certainly something they've done before.
