I think he will still be there. Great Khali is still here 6 years on!
I'm not sure what he will be doing though, but I doubt he will be a jobber.

I can see him still being there, either as a main eventer or a midcard monster like Kane.

Batista 2.0 pretty much. The #2 face of the company but temporarily the #1 guy if the #1 guy is injured or in a non title feud with someone. Provided he survives Wellness (cannot remember if he has 1 or 2 strikes already) then this is how I see him progressing. I don't think he'll reach the heights Batista did (main eventing WM and briefly being the face if WWE) but number two in the company easily.

Executive Vice President of Food Relations. Most likely the midcard if at all.

Indy Superstar Former WWE Superstar Ryan Reeves (Ryback)
Or he'll do the Goldberg thing where he does nothing but car stuff, but with food.

Now we need to have an episode of RAW ending with someone walking into catering only to find an empty plate, and yelling "OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FOOD? RYBACK! WHERE ARE YOU! RYBAAAACKKK!!! RYBACK!!!!

I don't even think he'll still be there in five years. I like Ryback well enough, but I agree. I still expect him to get injured and/or wellness'd before his character even bottoms out. I enjoy him now, but I doubt that his character will hold up that long.

Kane, the Undertaker's sadistic scarred brother When he debuted he was already a character with more depth than Ryback has now. A better example would be someone like Ultimate Warrior. If Warrior wasn't a flake backstage, his tenure would had lasted longer. Like someone said, he'll be Batista 2.0 even following his same career path. I can't wait until DoucheBack makes his appearance.

"Personalities" like Warrior had a longer shelf life because there was much less wrestling on TV or in general. Things move much faster now, so I doubt Ryback (as he's portrayed now) will last the same timeframe, but they make a big shakeup in his character that alters that.

Sicilian Uncle of Santino when he turns heel and fans don't understand why. There'll be a xenophobic trend running through all his promos, finishing each eating pun with "mama mia!" and wearing Mario memorabilia for some stupid cross-franchise sales reason.
He'll die not long after from sadness and Santino will become World Champion after losing to Randy Orton at No Way Out to the concerned boos of many fans at Wrestlemania 34.

I love all the "5 years is a long time, he won't be around" post..
Do you know how many guys I have been watching for at least 15 years now. That are still kicking ass and taking names.

Ryback simply isn't going anywhere.
Vince is pretty high on the guy as it is, and him getting wellnessed is pretty damn unlikely.
