I love all the "5 years is a long time, he won't be around" post.. Do you know how many guys I have been watching for at least 15 years now. That are still kicking ass and taking names. But Ryback is already in his 30s. He's already been wrestling for 7 years. He's had a lot of injury problems before his recent run. And those guys that have been around 15 years...I assume you're talking about Kane, Christian, Big Show, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle. Is Ryback really as good as those guys, and does he have their longevity?

I think that it's sad that just because certain guys managed to win their first World Title in their twenties that it's become the new standard for success.

I for one didn't think I would be watching The Giant today in WWE. I didn't think Christian would make a name for himself, I didn't see Jericho as future undisputed champion back when he had Ralphus. I couldn't see Chavo outlasting wcw. I did see potential in Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle.. Kane has surprised us all. If Vince sees something in somebody and pushes them to the moon then they can go anywhere unless there Bobby Lashley

Yeah you're right, it was just the one but it kept him out for a year and a half. It just seemed like he was injury prone because I kept reading about he had another surgery and his comeback was delayed again and all that. I guess not so much injury prone, but if he does have another serious injury so soon after this one will he be able to make it back again? I'd say he's a guy to worry about injury-wise more than the average wrester.

It's nothing to do with success or judging anyone. My point is he's a pro athlete in his 30s, and he's already wrestled for 7 years, he's got a lot of mileage on his body. He seems to be wrestling more of a power style now than before, so that could help him last longer. It will be a big accomplishment if he's still around performing at a high level in 5 years, it would be for anyone in WWE, especially big men.

seriously though, if he manages to avoid wellness that long, he could be the next Rhyno
I know that's nobody's dream, but you can only do so much with so, so little

I'm guessing he'll be in the upper midcard, similar to Kane.
He'll probably bounce back and forth between monster heel and goofy face (like Big Show usually does) and will be a two time world champion.

Doing crappy action movies. He doesn't have staying power and WWE has so much programming now it overexposes people much faster then it did in the past.

There's no question he'll have some goofy angle come around for him. And I know exactly what the focus will be on. HIS EATING: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HY3g4CGdM0

"Feed! Me! More! Feed! Me! More!" {Spoiler}It's actually just the air being released from his morbidly obese corpse; Ryback has been dead since WrestleMania started!
