In The Dark Knight Rises.
Yeah I went there.
Not a Hardy hater just saying........
Since people don't care for Hardy as Bane since he and Bats are the same height. Why not Kane?
He's been masked most of his career and knows how to emote while wearing one. He's athletic and can do fight scenes been in his own movie already where he was a terrifying menace. I'm sure the guy can do a mean accent with all the traveling he's done.
The Fire Rises........
Come on!!!!!!!!..... How could hollywood have fumbled like this???

Because Bane's supposed to be intimidating. But with Kane, I've seen scarier Muppets. MUPPETS I SAY!

Not a completely bad idea, but a couple of problems: Bane is supposed to be muscular, and while Kane is no slouch, lets face it-the man is rather portly at times. And second, a realistic version of Bane should not completely dwarf Batman in size, and Glenn Jacobs would tower of Christian Bale on any day.
Personally, I have always thought Kane would be the choice to play Kurrgan in a remake of Highlander...

Probably because they wanted someone would could act further than "intimidating" and "mad" which are Kane's bread and butter. Think back to the "Embrace the Hate" promos that felt like they drew on because Kane was trying to emote but it just didn't click.
Kane would make a good Kurrgan. Or perhaps a good Jaws (metal teeth) if the new James Bond would like to have one.

I'd love to see the trilogy end with Bane burning batman's cape in a trashcan before handing him a business suit.

Because Tom Hardy is a fantastic actor, who will do an amazing job as Bane. While Kane would just be a tall, bald dude. I love Kane, but he'd be so awful in a mainstream movie where he actually has to act. Just the facts.

An actor's height is pretty immaterial anyways. If it wasn't, Tom Cruise would look like a f***ing midget in everything, and The Lord of the Rings would have just been impossible to film due to a lack of talented hobbit sized actors (unless they just had Peter Dinklage play every single hobbit)

If Kane was in the movie, I would go everyday to see that movie during it's theater run.

We talking about the former wrestler/oddity Kurrgan or is there an actual Highlander character named Kurrgan? Basing this just on most of what i've seen but most of what we've seen of Bane he's mostly covered up or wearing that vest thingie of his so the most we've seen of his physique mainly is his arms and I' have my doubts we will just see him walking around shirtless.

For the same reason Chris Benoit did not play Wolverine.
Because acting ability is kind of important.

Because Nolan generally likes people who can act, and not in that special "he acts well for a wrestler" way.

There'd be 52 Bane face/heel turns during the movie? Just like in 'real' life.

Not a bad idea, but I think Vader would be even better-not as tall, but stockier, and can pull off either the new mask design, or the original, traditional wrestler's mask.
