Given the depth and width of what they talk about on "I Love the ___'s" shows I'd say every single thing we say, do or buy will be fair game in the eyes of people 20 years from now.

Justin Beiber and most of today's music stars Much of what we see on television, from worsening soap opera storylines, to bad wrestling storylines, to even worse reality shows. I agree with everything especially bad wrestling storylines and pro-wrestling in general. At least on here, something even half as horrendous as the Shockmaster will never be forgotten. ;D

I don't think so. I think people will always buy tangible media. People like having a tangible thing in their hands. I can see in 20 years that becoming retro like people today who still buy vinyl records. Don't you think that most kids today, especially like typical kids not college hipster kids, think the vinyl scene is either kind of weird or are unaware of it? And think of records as some stone age thing? I'm aware. I'm just saying that I think there will always be a market for physical media. It may be small, but it'll be there.

I still by laserdiscs, regularly. But I definitely think it will seem foreign to the kids of tomorrow.

I've made it my goal to become a D-level comedian or musician to earn the privilege to be on VH1's "I love the 2010s" to just shit all over this period of culture in about 20 years.

Unless she can reinvent herself, Lady Gaga. Not sure about her. I'd still give her a 25% chance that she'll be able to pull a Madonna a reinvent herself over and over. One dimensional gimmicky, talentless skanks like Ke$ha and Katy Perry have NO CHANCE IN HELL to survive. Yeah, Gaga is going to evolve and she already has been since she first started back in 2005. From Norah Jones type music to college rock, then onto to pop/dance. She'll change it up in the years to come with age.

The big deal made about gay marriage.
Autotune.
The hipster look will be absolutely slaughtered as well.
There's already a backlash against 3D for the sake of 3D movies.
The standards of CGI today, except for a few cases you can still TELL it's CGI you are watching. Look at the opening battle in the future in Terminator 2 it has a tangible quality to it and there is no CGI, that's why it still looks great 22 years on . Hell, look at the battle of Endor compared to say the Battle over Coruscant. You can do more fancy manoeuvres with CGI but what battle actually feels more real?

Movies & TV: Today's use of CGI. It will look cheesy like the CGI in Langoliers looks today. Most of it already looks like crap. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, CGI looks far worse than the rubber suits of the old '50s horror movies.

The hipster look will be absolutely slaughtered as well. The threads about stuff that will be ridiculed in the future, not in the present.

Physical media. People born in, say, 2006 and later will never understand why people had all these discs lying around, and a lot of them aren't even HD. All media is physical. Even the electricity powering your computer or your cellphone is physical, it still has material properties. However, not all media are tangible. This is the shift in recent years with media and technology production. Even the boundary between what a medium is and what a technology is has become permeable (i.e. is Twitter a medium? a technology? or this new thing we call 'service'?). Today's media is like Harold Innis on steroids.

Talented singer? Are you on drugs? Your "knows what sells" line could be used to excuse ANY no-talent hack that catches the public's eye at any given time.
