Jesus H Christ. I get plastered last night, don't go to bed until 7 this morning, and I wake up to this?
What in the hell? I'm sort of at a loss right now.

My mouth literally dropped when I got on and saw this news. I just got done watching the ECW DVD and in it is an ad for Eddy's DVD.
RIP EDDY!

I think I'm going to have to see RAW in order for this to sink in... he was too young and once he had gotten clean I figured he'd be around for years to come. Wrestling will never be the same without him.
I don't know who made this sig, but I hope that person does not mind my using it.

I am in total shock right now. Eddie was my favorite wrestler working in the WWE at the moment. Wow. God bless him and his family.

A Casual Fan's Thoughts on Eddie's Passing
I went to WWE.com this morning as i do most days just to see what was up in the world of wrestling, a world that i grew up with, and his given me many memories, a world that has lately been more distant from me, but like a childhood friend has always had a place in my heart. The first thing that loaded was that picture of Eddie and next to it the 1967-2005. Ive never felt like that before in my entire life, my heart almost stopped, and my stomach turned over. I felt like i was going to vomit. Its a strange feeling espicially since he was never nessicarily my favorite competitor, i always respected him, enjoyed his work, always thought he was one of the best guys going, yet I never followed him like a Jericho or Benoit, say. Yet today I never reacted to a death like that.
As I was showing my girlfriend (hates wrestling, but dont blame her) the site and the picture she said "its weird because what they do is like putting on stories so its strange when they die". I dunno, people dont understand, the fact that day in day out guys like Eddie Guerrero put thier lives on the line for this sport. And im not saying lives like like life or death, im saying lives like his relationship with his family, his ability to lead a normal life. These guys sacrifice thier lives for this art form and maybe about 3% of them ever get up to the level that Eddie Guerrero got in his career. His in-ring ability and charisma were never less than outstanding, and his commitment to this sport was in a leauge of its own. "Latino Heat" lived basked in that burning passion that he felt for this sport every day of his life, and we followed him into the fire. For years, we watched him, cheered him, booed him, and today we mourn him. In a big way he was a part of our lives in a way that non-wrestling fans will never understand, theyll never understand the dedication that these thousands of men and women have to this sport, this art form, and theyll never understand the millions of people around the world who'll always love them for it.
Rock Over London, Rock On Chicago RIP Eddie G.

RIP Eddie.
Eddie was a great wrestler I knew a couple of people who met him in airports and such, he was always nice to them from what I hear. I'm going to miss seeing him around I'll be saying a prayer for him.

I wasn't a huge Eddie Guerrero fan when he came over to WWE back in 2000, but over the past few years his in-ring work and charisma had won me over, and I had definately become a fan. I had just finished watching Smackdown on my DVR from Friday and had a good laugh at the Kennedy match, then I went online and saw the news. Very sad.

From what the Press Conference over on WWE.com says, it looks like both RAW and Smackdown taped tonight will be a tribute show.
Even worse, word is they were gonna drop the title to Eddie tonight too in a three way.
I guess this is a little... morbid maybe. But, do you think that this will affect Chavo's career? I sort of imagine if at the tribute show if he came out and "shooted" about it, saying that he isn't some flunky Kerwin that the office made up, but he's a Guerrero, and damn proud of it. I think he'd be way over as a face. It's sad that I thought about that as I was watching the press conference. But I guess I did.
