I really wish they'd make a spin-off cartoon about that super hero! I'd watch, as long as they didn't get into the Lisa Simpson-esque politics.

Well, the main issue is that the writers (for the animated series, at least) have abandoned their own original creations and TV shows in favor of spoofing the X-Men and the Incredible Hulk, which is intent on their laziness.

I still remember that episode looking a lot sharper and more colorful than most others. I believe it was the first episode to go to digital, so it kinda makes sense why it looks so vastly different from the rest.

It's telling that when people quote their favourite Simpsons lines, they're almost always from the first 9 seasons. I can understand sitting through two or three bad seasons in the hopes that things get better, but 14?
