Britta's a love interest of Abed? I think it more going on the idea that Jeff's the Main Protagonist.......even though they drew the parallel between the Main Protag of Scrubs and Abed. That's just based on inference and wording mind you. Trust me I questioned it at first too, I figured that the article momentarily forgot it's own internal logic in order to make a point.

'Scrubs' at its funniest is so far and away ahead of 'Community' at its peak that it's not even in sight. However, 'Scrubs' at its lowest points is also substantially worse than 'Community' at its worst, which is saying a lot, because a good majority of last season of 'Community' was among the worst television I've ever had the misfortune of watching. But I'd take a 'Community' season three marathon before being subjected to the final two seasons of 'Scrubs'. Hold on there. The actual last season of Scrubs (not the stupid intern show) was damn good, and improved a hell of a lot on seasons 4-7. The Interns show was not horrible, it just had the misfortune of carrying the same name as the first eight seasons. If they had let the interns show be a spin-off as it was originally intended, then it wouldn't get half the backlash that it did. The characters were genuinely entertaining and funny. The show just shouldn't have been called "Scrubs".

I don't know if they're the same show, since I don't watch Community, but I just know that every time I see that Abed dude....I just can't help but hate him. Is that the intended reaction?

I loved Scrubs for a while, but I'm now in a long period of "Why the hell could I ever stand to watch that". That happened after two episode of Crapmunity, so I'm gonna say Scrubs is a bunch better.

On the contrary. Abed is probably the most lovable character on the show. He doesn't play into the stereotype like the other dude from Big Bang Theory. He's an observer. He sort of represents the viewers, because he sees everything like a TV show, including the actual show he's in. He's meta, basically. I highly recommend giving the show a watch.

No, they aren't. One show is in a hospital and one in a community college. Big difference. Silly Cracked.

I might have to, but I'll have to get over my residual contact disdain for Donald Glover thanks to his fandom over that ridiculous Spider-Man campaign.

Add that with that fact that they are both terrible, and I think you are on to something.

Once you see his performance on Community, and the awesome bromance between him and Abed, that disdain should quickly dissolve. He's a really talented dude, both in performance and in improv.

I could totally get the argument that Community sort of filled the void left by Scrubs with the same sense of humor, but most of the character comparisons are highly inaccurate.

Fair enough, I guess, like I said, I don't watch the show, but to me, he's got one of those "Heath Slater Faces". Although there are times I wanted to yell at him and tell him to get a grip on reality, he really is the nicest of the bunch. I always thought he also played a role in keeping the group together. Sure, you have Jeff and his obligatory monologue whenever the group gets into an argument, but Abed also tends to drop words of wisdom and gives everyone reality checks (ironically).

Scrubs is way way more sillier than Community. Sure Community can be silly but I think the writing on it is way more clever. I never could get into Scrubs because it seemed like it was being written by 12 year olds.
The only episode of the Community I haven't liked is last years Halloween episode. That was astonishingly bad.

You know, I forgot to mention I always felt Community could more or less be what we would have gotten if Scrubs: Med School was done right.
