Cage matches. They've been a snooze fest for years and years now. Not because of anything related to going out the door, but because it seems to lead people to doing the same extremely boring spots. Throwing someone into the fence is like the cage version of a resthold. We have to see this unimpressive offensive move, followed by the person laying there selling it for an hour while the attacker paces around. In fact wrestlers in general seem to move in slow motion in cage matches. Last great cage match was Angle vs Benoit on Raw False (at least to me). Jericho vs. Christian in 2004 was phenomenal, as was Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk in 2009.

I have to agree with cage matches. They've just become a throwaway gimmick to put on TV once every few months.
The only WWE cage match in the last decade that wasn't just a generic "throw each other into the cage a whole lot" fest to me and actually felt like a real brutal war was Ric Flair vs. Triple H at Taboo Tuesday 2005.

I'd say strap matches simply because so many of them seem to have confused refs and/or wrestlers in them that can't follow the rules, can't remember the rules, or seem to make them up as they go. Do I pin the guy, then touch the four corners in order without getting hit? No wait, don't pin the guy, just beat him up and drag him around the ring touching corners whenever I feel like it? No, put the guy in a submission, make him tap, then touch two corners, then pin him, then touch the other two, then submit him again? Uhhhh, how do I win again??? And the ref is standing there shrugging his shoulders as well. They usually have the same ending every time. Touch one corner, the opponent does it without the first guy seeing him. Repeat until the last one. Opponent pulls guy away from touching last corner, then he touches it for the win. Pretty anti-climatic, if you ask me. Fans only cheer that it's over, not because they liked who won. Well, I did enjoy Eddie Guerrero vs. JBL at Great American Bash 2004 (It may be seen as a bad PPV, but at least this was a decent match, as well as Chavo vs. Rey). However, the finish was not great as it had fans thinking that Eddie won and GM Kurt Angle had to point out that JBL touched the turnbuckle with his back. I know that both Eddie and JBL touched the corners towards the end, but still.

Any time when the gimmick match is booked for the obvious purpose of protecting someone from losing cleanly, or to have someone win without "hurting" the loser.

WWE's "I Quit" matches in recent years have just been no-DQ matches plus lots of terrible, amateurish acting where the action halts so that the wrestlers and/or the ref can grab a mic and try to emote.

Has there ever been a good one?

Worst Gimmick Matches
1) Tuxedo - never been a good match, & never anyone who would be worth looking at stripped. Weird homoerotic concept too. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)
2) Lumberjack matches - So few of these matches have been really well organized or put together - the only good match was between Diesel & Sid.
3) Cage - Without the violence & bloodshed of the previous era - these matches are now slow & vanilla to me now.

Was gonna post this. It doesn't help that they are asked if they quit after stuff that wouldn't come close to ending a normal match over and over. Any flow the match gets is instantly halted when a ref shoves a mic in their face.

pretty much every gimmick match nowadays. Gimmicks are supposed to be feud enders, or for big occasions. Not just throw away matches.
I hate what first blood matches have become

Wrestler: No. Me: Didn't see that one coming. Really.

The Chairs match. Was that even a thing before TLC became a PPV? It's barely even a gimmick match.
