Whatever happened to this? It seems like you had a good deal of this in the early to mid 90's and then it disappeared during the Attitude Era. Sid and Jeff Jarrett are probably the two people with the most memorable sort of thing, but even Warrior had it for a little bit: Other than the impracticality of storing it up high and WWE seemingly not liking to have too much rigged to the ceiling anymore, I don't know why we haven't seen anything similar in a long time, other than stage pyro being simpler albeit less unique to arrange.

I remember Marc Mero had one that had loads of Catherine Wheels on it. It looked pretty decent when all the fireworks actually worked properly.

Yeah, nothing topped the simplicity of that. I loved that pyro.

Ziggler would be a good candidate for that.

Primo had the sparklers before, some old school pyro for him. That, or they didn't want to pay for more expensive pyro for him at the time.

There were pretty much always at least two wheels that didn't spin properly. I even remember Sunny (I think it was Survivor Series 1996) on commentary making comments about how Sable shouldn't stand too close to the fireworks as her implants may catch fire (or something like that).

I remember an old promo with Stone Cold going on about how he didn't need "sparklers" to get over, and he made them sound really lame. So maybe that's around the time WWE phased them out.

I want to see that pyro that goes down the ramp, around the ring, and back up the ramp like in the SvR games.

The Spirit Squad had the spinning sparklers for a while as well, I believe.

Ziggler would be a good candidate for that. Yeah, having a big pyro show before his matches would really help the completely ill-advised and unrealized "Show Off" gimmick. "Look guys, I do handstands when I do choke holds, and I sometimes take an extra few seconds to pin somebody!" Sigh.
