Yes, it's Monday again, and that means it's time for RAW, coming to you live from Newark, NJ. We are less than a week away from the final PPV of 2012 (possibly ever if the Mayan calendar thing is legit) in TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, and the superstars of WWE are looking for that final leg up on their opponents heading into Sunday.
WWE Champion CM Punk was going to defend his championship gold at TLC, but then he took a Ryback to the knee, being assaulted with the show's signature weapons one-by-one as RAW closed last week. As a result, Punk underwent surgery to clean up some nagging issues and will not defend his title on Sunday, likely extending his landmark reign into the 400s. However, as decreed by Mr. McMahon, a TLC match will still take place, as Ryback will now team with Tag Team Champions Kane and Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan against the black-clad enforcers of justice, The Shield. However, with nothing up for grabsies, the match will be wrestled under pinfall and submission stipulations. How will the trio of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns prepare for what will be (at this time) their first match on WWE's main roster? How will the alliance of the Big Hungry, the Big Red Monster and the Big Beard adapt to the sudden changes of plan? Find out tonight.
Thanks to some needling by Mr. McMahon, Vickie Guerrero has put her client Dolph Ziggler into a hell of a pickle. He now has to face John Cena in a ladder match, with his Money In The Bank World Heavyweight Championship shot on the line. I guess that'll learn her for making a huge deal of two single people having a relationship. How will Ziggler prepare for the most important match of his life? And how will Cena manage to portray himself as the underdog this time? Tune in to find out.
On SmackDown, a no contact clause was signed between World Heavyweight Champion Big Show and No. 1 Contender Sheamus, a break of which would lead to a cancellation of their chairs match for the big gold belt. With The Great White literally willing to throw others into the path of the champion to get the mental edge, how will Big Show survive until their bout in Brooklyn on Sunday?
Midcard... With one of TLC's 4 stipulation matches still not announced, it could be between the IC feud between champ Kofi Kingston and Wade Barrett or the US feud between champ Antonio Cesaro and R-Truth to fill that gap, even though chances are that it will probably go elsewhere, likely Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio. Can't have a PPV without those guys, am I right? Anyway, look for final buildup to those matches tonight.
Tag team division... with the champions unavailable for Sunday, it looks like more jostling for that coveted No. 1 Contender spot will have to make do. Although, there is buzz on the streets that 3MB will be appearing on RAW to make a State of the WWE Address, something which is usually only reserved for Vince. What will the multinational musicians have to say?
Divas... Not much happening here, other than AJ Lee working her way back into active competition after many months of corporate controversy. Eve Torres still has the belt, I think.
All this, and your Mom too (Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh), TONIGHT on RAW!
