I know that they'll never lose their TV deal, but sometimes I wonder if going back to the caveman days before RAW would be for the best.
Writing strictly for TV as a TV show rather than a wrestling show has not worked.

Even with the ratings as low as they are, the WWE is making a hell of a lot more money now than during the days before Raw.

The show deserved a lower rating than that. I sat through the entire three hours and I've felt like I should get some sort of medal in the mail. I watch it today an it was 2hours 7 minutes.whit out commercials an this was a full show not the Hulu version. I thought the show was not bad only fault I saw was sheamus/Ziggler went to long but over all 7/10 In the time of 2h raws we would get 15-25 minutes of commercials. Now in the 3 hours we get 30-50 of commercials . Those commercial breaks really kill Raw they take you out of the show. I'm sure if you saw it whit out commercials it would be better.

See? Even John Cena in the main event doesn't make Raw immune to the 3rd hour drop. Can we stop calling CM Punk ratings poison now?

If you're not happy with Raw, seriously watch it on DVR and skip over anything Del Rio related, boring main events, and the recaps/commercials. As of late, it's the only way I'll watch Raw, and I actually enjoy it due to all the good wrestling sandwiched between all the fluff. There is a lot to like now that the mid-card and tag division have some focus again, it's just hard to appreciate when you have to dedicate 3 hours of your time straight to overall about an hours worth of stuff that's worth watching. The ratings are reflecting that fatigue big time.

Wasn't a Big Show vs. John Cena main event one of the biggest gains ever earlier this year/late last year?

Have to admit, there was little to keep my interest in the show, except for the crazy-awesome ending.

It's been said before, but it seems as if the ratings breakdown is almost the complete opposite of what the IWC projects it'll be more often than not. AJ/Vickie, Del Rio/Ryder, Sheamus/Ziggler and MizTV resulted in gains rather than losses; meanwhile, the three biggest hemorrhages of viewers were, in order, Kingston/Cesaro, the Shield promo, and the tag-team fatal-four way.

Wait, someone thought that a match with the Uso's was going to gain viewers?

RAW 11/26: Tamina Snuka vs. Alicia Fox gained 46,000 viewers RAW 12/10: Eve Torres vs. Alicia Fox gained 223,000 viewers The numbers don't lie: Fox equals ratings. Push Alicia Fox. {Spoiler}Yeah, I know Punk more than likely had more to do with the segment ratings gain, but bear with me. I'm tired of only having the same two or three Divas in play at one time.

I think the time slot factors into what the ratings are going to do, more than how entertaining the particular segment might be.

At this point why don't they go back to 2 hours but run from 8-10?

It's harder to gain viewers in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of each hour than it is the 1st and 4th.

At this point why don't they go back to 2 hours but run from 8-10? I think the show should run from 8-10 as the announced time slot, but it can end anytime during the third hour. Kind of like an NBA or NFL game. You never know when it will end, even if the listing says 8-11, or whatever. Whatever time they end, the remainder of the show can be a "post-game", which was rumored before. For example, Raw this week could end at 10:34, after an ad break, there's a post-show. The next week, Raw can go until 11, with a shortened post-show. So on and so on. This could give the ending of Raw a more unpredictable feeling.
