At this point why don't they go back to 2 hours but run from 8-10? Because USA wants 3 hours a week.

If you're not happy with Raw, seriously watch it on DVR and skip over anything Del Rio related, boring main events, and the recaps/commercials. As of late, it's the only way I'll watch Raw, and I actually enjoy it due to all the good wrestling sandwiched between all the fluff. There is a lot to like now that the mid-card and tag division have some focus again, it's just hard to appreciate when you have to dedicate 3 hours of your time straight to overall about an hours worth of stuff that's worth watching. The ratings are reflecting that fatigue big time. Well, I don't have a DVR, but I agree that the matches and entertaining promos, what few there are, actually make for a good show. As for the three hour thing (and this isn't really a response to you Delta, I'm just commenting on it in general), I don't see how they can go back to two hours now. This has been such a huge boon for the midcard and tag divisions to actually get a little time on TV, even if the storylines they have aren't that great. If they want more viewers, they have to have COMPELLING television. Something that makes people want to watch everything -- promos, matches, recaps, the whole shebang. Are there good characters? Yes. There are good wrestlers, but everything gets stale, even the good stuff. How many times can I watch the same 10 guys wrestle, with damn near the same results? Ziggler is always going to get pinned because nobody else can look weak or lose kayfabe momentum going into a pay-per-view, and he looks good selling. The Prime Time Players are gonna lose because Team Hell No is too busy doing shit with The Shield so what's the point of making them look good if they're not going to compete for the titles soon? (This is all WWE logic, ftr). You gotta have Mysterio and Sin Cara win, because LOOK KIDS AT THE COLORFUL MASKS. It's been the same exact show for two whole months now. Honestly, that lie detector segment that was dick awful? It could've been good. If it wasn't freaking telegraphed that The Shield was going to show up followed by Ryback, I might've actually wanted to see what was going to happen. Throw in some shitty terrible banter between CM Punk and Miz, and it's unwatchable. But the CONCEPT of the segment itself is classic Raw. Raw's done business before with segments ending shows instead of wrestling matches, but when the execution is terrible, it's obviously going to impact whether or not your audience will want to see something like that again in the future. It's been said about a million times, but when things are good in the business, you can do no wrong, and when things are bad, you can do no right. I think the WWE, with the talent they have and the changes they're going through with Trips slowly turning things around, things will get better. I hope I have the patience for it.

At this point why don't they go back to 2 hours but run from 8-10? I think the show should run from 8-10 as the announced time slot, but it can end anytime during the third hour. Kind of like an NBA or NFL game. You never know when it will end, even if the listing says 8-11, or whatever. Whatever time they end, the remainder of the show can be a "post-game", which was rumored before. For example, Raw this week could end at 10:34, after an ad break, there's a post-show. The next week, Raw can go until 11, with a shortened post-show. So on and so on. This could give the ending of Raw a more unpredictable feeling. That actually could be the best use the three hour RAW: set aside between 15-20 minutes each week (varying each week to keep it spontaneous) for something akin to Backstage Fallout or TNA ReAction. That gives a chance for the talent to show some personality they can't otherwise show on-air, and it allows a venue to push storylines without a feeling of impeding with match time. Of course, this would also allow them to have some RAWs seem like a bigger deal by having them go the whole three hours (like the go-home show before PPV), using the 5 or 10 miinutes from the overrun for a short preview of either the PPV or the next week's RAW. It'd probably be easier for the writers than trying to haphazardly fill three hours of live television.
