I remember it being on syndication after The Flintstones on my local independent channel when I was a kid. Never watched an episode, though.

Her mom abandoned the family I was thinking it was something like that. I seem to remember an episode where Blossom goes to meet her in France.

I remember the early episodes had really weird dream sequences with guest stars like ALF (yes, that ALF) and Little Richard.

The show has actually received decent attention recently, thanks to Mayim Bialik's role on Blossom, which led to her divorce also getting some coverage.

yeah, used to watch it a lot during it's run on channel4 in the uk at SIX pm ;D
The series began with Blossom's mother having left the family to pursue her own life and career; the show concentrated on the family's attempts to adjust. Blossom's father, Nick, a session musician who was frequently between gigs and tours, was played by Ted Wass. Her oldest brother Anthony (Michael Stoyanov) is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who eventually became a paramedic. Joey (Joey Lawrence), the other brother, is a fairly stereotypical "dumb jock", known for the drawn-out delivery of his catchphrase, "Whoa!" Her mother, Maddy Russo, was played by Melissa Manchester.
Blossom's best friend Six LeMeure (Jenna von Oÿ) also plays a significant part in her life. Six, an especially fast talker, was best known for her tendency to ramble. Blossom also frequently received advice from celebrities in fantasy scenes, such as Mr. T, Hugh Hefner, Phylicia Rashad, David Schwimmer, ALF, and Will Smith.

I remember this show, I watched the pilot when it first aired and then the first couple seasons. I liked it for a while but it pretty much got too annoying once she started dating Vinnie.

Blossom and Fresh Prince of Bel Air suffered a horrible fate of being "The only tolerable thing I can sit through until wrestling starts." .... due to that, I never gave either show a chance because I just wanted them to end so I could start watching wrestling.
Granted, "Blossom" seemed to be too angsty and I seem to remember more episodes being a downer than not.

I remember Blossom. I'd watch it on syndication and on NBC. I think it followed Fresh Prince. I haven't seen a whole episode since it was off TV, probably by the late 90s it was off syndication, so I don't know how good it really was. I did see some clips to see some scenes again.
Though, I remember thinking after the family got bigger, the Dad and Anthony got married and the addition of a stepsister for Blossom, it didn't feel right. Most I remember of that time is Stymie from Little Rascals was friend to early 90s obligatory cute little girl.
Sidenotes, the actor playing Anthony had the role of a bank robber in The Dark Knight. Former Bruce Banner, Bill Bixby, was a director of alot of episodes. He even directed as he became seriously ill from a bed brought to set.

remember that show Joey Lawrence had with his his brothers that show sucked I liked Brotherly Love. I don't remember much from Blossom. I looked up some episodes a while back but it didn't really hold up well for me. I do like the episode where the Dad dresses in full rain gear to teach Joey how to bat by pitching fruit to him. Also I thought this was funny Mini Blossom Reunion on Till Death
