, Please - really wish we had more room for titles. I'm finally on a break from school, so I'm trying to get back into WWE and TNA. Problem is, I'm lost as to what's happening right now, and was hoping you guys could help me out. Now, I do know what's happened with AJ and Cena, but outside of that everything else is confusing me. Last time I watched - Ryback was still facing midcarders, Slater and Mahal were by themselves, Big Show was in the main event, Ziggler was trying to get there, and The Shield wasn't a thing yet. I believe I was last able to watch in early September if I remember right - so that's where I left off. I know what The Shield is, but I was wondering when and under what circumstances they debuted. Any help is appreciated - thanks, guys.

Ryback was thrust into the main event when Cena pulled up injured ahead of Hell in a Cell. Punk retained after referee Brad Maddox low blowed Ryback in order to make a name for himself. Ryback squashed him a few weeks later in a match that if Maddox won would have earned him a contract. Ryback was denied again at Survivor Series when The Shield debuted and put him through the announce table. The internet exploded with delight cause there was now proof Dean Ambrose actually existed. I don't watch every show so that's all I can help with.

Hmm, sounds like an interesting and unique debut for them - I can't say if I've ever personally seen a faction debut by way of crooked referee before. And, to be honest, it sounds cool.

Well it still hasn't been determined if the faction and the ref have anything to do with each other, or if either of them have anything to do with Punk. They've all been denying it, and saying they work alone, but none of the faces believe them.

They've all been denying it, and saying they work alone, but none of the faces believe them. We've also had the faction attacking random targets like Cena and Randy Orton, as well as the Miz. They claim that it's to rid WWE of "injustice", though it's unclear what alleged injustice Cena committed to get The Shield to attack him. (For Orton, it was supposedly for taking advantage of a "defenseless" Brad Maddox, despite just beating him fairly in a match. For Miz, The Shield claimed that his lie detector test was an injustice against CM Punk, which of course, doesn't shake off allegations that the faction is affiliated with Punk & Paul Heyman.)
