What's up with that cover to Twisted Metal 2? I've never seen one like that before. EDIT: And is it wrong that I actually have more interest in playing these days than I do current ones? 1. Could be the early cover art sent to Toys R Us. They did that a lot. 2. No, it's not wrong at all Even as big a fan as I am, I've never seen that early edition box art. Pretty cool in a weird deprived Twisted fan way.

Jesus, no wonder the Game Boy was so damn successful. The cheapest system of the bunch by far and you still got quality gaming from it.
Also, f***ing hell, Genesis games almost cost as much as the system itself, and dear lord would you look at how cheap the SNES controllers were.

The Game Boy Pocket was the cheapest out of the bunch and my parents STILL couldn't afford to get me one.

I f***ing loved the 6 button controller for the Genesis. To this day it is my favorite controller I've held in my hands.

Pretty cool in a weird deprived Twisted fan way. A lot of times when the official cover isn't finished, they often send prototype covers to stores to use for catalogues or flyers. I remember looking through old catalogues as a kid and often just seeing genesis boxes with the red stripe and just a black cover with the game logo on it.

I remember most PS1 games being $39.99, with the greatest hits titles dipping down to $19.99. It was a very fair price on both accounts. One of the reasons I never got too much into the N64 despite being a big Nintendo fan was how hilariously expensive some of those games were. It's just crazy now, we can walk into a local game reseller and find all those $60-70 N64 games for like $2.99-6.99. I bought a 64 again past my adolescence and just stocked upon games on the cheap.

Damn, I was out of gaming from late 1995 until late 1997, and I don't remember Genesis games still being so expensive.
Hell, I was sometimes forced by my parents to get the Genesis versions of games like MK2 because they were usually atleast 10-15 dollars cheaper. Like $49.99 compared to $64.99 for the SNES version of MK2, in 1994.

Oh man. Those were the days. Back when my parents got me game systems without me even asking for them.
I still remember getting my PlayStation. *sigh*
