The WWE have really dropped the ball with Tensai He's got a good, hard-hitting, painful looking style, a unique and intimidating look and he seems like he'll be decent on the mic. Yet they've made him a jobber

As much as I like the guy, that picture up there with it's size and clarity is more Matt Bloom than I want to see. His nipple bars are FAR too clear.

I liked the segment. As others in this thread have said, the Tensai gimmick was basically dead anyways. Santino being the one to blow it up was perfect since he doesn't refer to anything under the correct name anyways.
What I am hoping for now is that Santino and Tensai become an odd couple tag team. It would allow Tensai to be a dominating guy again and would give some credibility back to him. There are tons of possibilities for skits with him as well due to his past with the company. I can see them being a better version of Santino's tag team with Kozlov.

No question that was it for the current Tensai gimmick. losing to Kofi in embarrassing fashion, having a schockmaster like trip on purpose and verbally sparing with Santino in English was the end of it. Whatever he comes out to as next it will not be as Tensai. I think it is for the best He comes out as a new man he could be a huge mid card threat and occasional main event threat. I think he would be perfect ion that role.

The gimmick has always been shitty. If this let's him just be Albert, great.

I actually liked the original Tensai gimmick. Anybody who does the Mist is cool with me.

I hope this is the beginning of either A. Tensai being becoming a comedy character or B. Tensai losing his mind and turning psychotic

They never said that he WASN'T Albert. They even said he was formerly in the WWE on his debut.

They never said that he WASN'T Albert. They even said he was formerly in the WWE on his debut. No way. If they didn't try to make a big secret about Tensai being Albert, then how come I felt so awesome and cool and smart when I chanted it at him, huh?

I think the best route to go is; have him pair with Santino for a while. With him playing deadpan to Santino's goofy comedy. Have him eventually open up to it and embrace it, only to turn on him and destroy him.
THEN you have him become the Albert/Tensai we were hoping to see. The one who stream-rolled people in Japan. The one who was a quick moving, punisher who'd legit kill you. This slow, methodical gimmick was never going to work. He needs to be a destroyer. What better way to get over than to destory lovable Santino.

We really need to compile a list and vote for the definite thing that ruined the Tensai gimmick.

I know that WWE has a reputation for supposedly "trying to insult our intelligence", but honestly, guys like Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, and Damien Sandow are bigger examples of that than Tensai/Albert ever came close to being.

He could maul Tom Hanks, and WWE fans would think he was a face, because he's not being presented as a loser and that's all it takes. Why do you think they didn't have him wrestle like that in the first place?
