Was he supposed to fall over? Considering the award was for 'LOL Moment,' I'd say it was planned for a cheap attempt at comedy.

I liked when Santino said "Would you like to read winner?"
Then Tensai slowly shook his head no.

I really liked how he reacted to Santino actually, if they just let him be Albert again who can't tolerate idiocy then it'd be fine by me. He's great in the ring so refining his silent jobber character into a moody guy capable of promoing whilst battering his opponents around would be nice.
Or even if he's just a straight man in comedy segments, s'all good.

Oh, Albert as a partner to Santino, who only communicates with shaking his head yes or no, while remaining emotionless would be pretty entertaining.

I don't think Tensai is ruined.
On SmackDown he straight up no-sold the Cobra. I've seen main eventers actually go out of their way to dodge or counter it. Tensai is one of the first (if not only) Superstars I've seen straight up no-selling it. He lost, but he pretty much destroyed Santino, and Santino only won by luck.

The man went from pinning Cena and Punk to jobbing to Santino. His run has flopped harder than John Carter and it's for the best of he goes back to Japan. Being the straight man to comedy characters won't help to rebuild his credit. Pack up and go back to where he'll be properly used.

Was he supposed to fall over? Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tensai tripping on his way out was a nod to The Shockmaster.

His match with Santino was a blast.
Seems pretty likely they'll pair the two together.

I enjoyed his match with Santino, was a lot of fun. Tensai avoiding the Cobra whilst he had Santino in a sleeper made me laugh I hope WWE go the route of teaming them up, they have good chemistry with each other so it should be a fun team

Santino striking the Cobra on Tensai's giant head only for him to not be effected and Santino's hand to get hurt in the process was funny. People seem to forget when Albert teamed up with Scotty 2 Hotty years back, he was really popular. Somebody in WWE remember that and instead of ignoring the Albert chants and continue making him a monster that people don't care about, they decided to go back to that well since it worked the first time. Bringing back the Hip Hop Hippo could be what will save the Tensai gimmick and keep him gainfully employed. And besides, Tensai wanted to come back to the US because of his family.

Tensai's star may have fallen, but WWE goes out of their way to make him look dominant and when he does lose, it's usually either to a fluke, or a "puncher's chance" type of move (i.e Kofi's Trouble in Paradise).
Tensai was always going to lose in the end anyway. He wasn't going to be a "top heel". His whole purpose was to be just an obstacle for Cena, Punk, or some other high level face to go over.

Sheamus actually went through a similar fall from the top after he lost the WWE title, and he's doing pretty good for himself these days.

Make Tensai Santino's problem solver. If Santino ask for a beat Tensai can go no
