Well, then. That was really something, wasn't it? On the back of a psychotic and erratic Slammy episode of RAW, SmackDown comes to you live (and commercial-free for those in the US) from Pittsburgh, and we could have to deal with some immediate fallout from RAW.
Confirmed for tonight, World Heavyweight Champion Big Show teams up with Money In The Bank holder Dolph Ziggler against John Cena and Sheamus. Thanks to The Great White, Big Show was put in prime position for a cash-in by The Show Off, only to be intercepted at the last moment by Cena. The history between these 4 men is long and storied, so will there be extensive violence ahoy in this one? And how will new arrivals like The Shield and Big E Langston figure into things?
Also announced for tonight will be another installment of MizTV, with The Miz's special guests being both Ziggler and AJ Lee. AJ's closing out 2012 in the way only she can... controversially (also infuriatingly), having cost Cena the MITB shot, made out with Ziggles and (probably) brought in Langston in the space of 48 hours. Will we finally get some damn answers?
Midcard belts... Based on his ambush of IC Champion Kofi Kingston on RAW, it seems that Wade Barrett is not finished in his quest for a second IC championship. Will there be further developments there? Also, will a new challenger finally step up and try to knock US Champion Antonio Cesaro off his Matterhorn-sized high horse?
Tag belts... Tag Team Champions Kane and Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan had a quiet night on RAW, having had no matches after their hellacious TLC loss to The Shield, but they have to keep watch for Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow, who are starting to pick up momentum as the No. 1 Contenders. What will happen with these 4 tonight? And, most importantly, does Kane have facial hair envy of the other 3?
Divas... Divas Champ Eve Torres dropped a loss to Kaitlyn, so maybe a title shot is in order. That's how these things go, right?
All that, and double the product placement for things that aren't owned or made by WWE, TONIGHT on SmackDown LIVE!
