Just re watched this match, holy s*** I forgot how great it was. This is one of those times where the crowd really adds atmosphere and tension to the match. You could see how invested they were during all the near falls. The match also told a perfect story, with Black winning a Number 1 Contender Fatal 4 Way earlier in the night, selling the arm during the match, taking a huge risk by diving into the crowd with it not paying off and finally putting him over as one of the toughest by him surviving multiple finishers by Nigel. The first time I saw the match I gave it around ****1/2 to ****3/4 stars and I still stand by that rating, I will always view this as the match that made Tyler Black.
So opinions on the match?

I saw it fairly recently again as well, I agree that it was the match that made Tyler. So well worked, so many hope spots, and a great finish. One of Nigel's best defences in his run as well.

One of my favourite ROH matches period. It was just a great match, I'm a huge Nigel fan and by the end of the match I was half-rooting for Tyler to win just because of how amazing a story it would've been. In hindsight I'm glad they didn't put the belt on him at the point but at the time I would've popped for the change.
